13 Jun 2006 2:53 pmWas out with Andy earlier at 3pm to get a haircut at APT Taipan.. he went for the Professional with the discounted coupon while I went for Senior, since I don’t believe in spending too much on hair. >_>
This ‘senior’ girl was either new, low with concentration or just plain noobish - in the first two minutes she apologised to me thrice for ripping off my hair sharply (you know, when the hairstylist didn’t cut your hair properly, it felt like the hair is being forcefully pulled out instead of being cut). She repeated that at least 5 more times later.
She commented in Cantonese that I have a lot of hair (true, considering my last haircut was months ago), and she took quite some time dealing with it. I went for ‘short and spiky, sideburn cut short’, but what came out in the end.. wasn’t exactly what I was expecting but it looked pretty alright.
Also went to collect my trial contacts which I had to pay since the trial ones beforehand were free but weren’t suitable for me. After trying it out at home, it felt better than the previous ones but I’m still getting mild headaches which is pretty damn annoying.
After Andy ate his very late lunch/very early dinner at about 4pm plus, he fetched me home.

Sigh. The problem with having only a single Astro decoder at home is my inability to watch football. Parents/maid will be hogging the TV for Wah Lai Toi, leaving me with no choice but to watch the proceedings in words - on the 2006 Fifa World Cup’s official site utilising their live MatchCast.. thingy.
Live words and live telecast are two completely different things. -___-"
But yeahh.. am happy South Korea won in the Korea vs Togo match. :D Seems like they were in possession of the ball most of the time.. and it’s just as unfortunate that Togo, being the new kid on the block, couldn’t outlast and beat the fourth place team in the Korea/Japan 2002 World Cup.
..is there a free live video-streaming website of the World Cup matches anywhere? :(

Right, so. What the hell is an astro decoder? o_O
And.. you have a maid? That’s so hot. ♥
I don’t think anywhere provides live streaming of an event on the internet, but there are lots of places that will show it once it’s been over with and is taped and stuff.
Ask one of your friends if you can watch it with them? D:

You Americans have them cable TVs and whatnot, so Astro is our cable telly.. so to speak. You need an Astro satellite dish and a decoder in your own home to watch the oh-so-many channels >.> which include the sports channels, and of course, the FIFA World Cup channels.
Yeah.. plenty of Malaysians have maids, or housekeeper as the better term for it. They’re mostly from Indonesia and the Phillipines.
Aw, guess I’ll have to make-do with un-live streaming then. :(
Well, my friends are all either schooling the next day or not free, so.. >_>

Nuh, Cable and Satellite TV are different. Cable TV is with wires in the ground, while as Satellite is TV where you get a dish and receive reception from outer space. Both have their ups and downs, but I prefer cable ‘cause the weather rarely affects it.
OMFG. I LOVE MAIDS. YOU ARE SO LUCKY. ♥♥♥
>___> Watch TV at their house while they’re not home. Say you’re deathly ill and if you don’t see the World Cup that you may need immeidate medical attention.
They’ll buy it. I swear. ♥

Ahh.. I see, didn’t know before this. Alternatively, I can watch it at the local mamak joints but watching alone isn’t fun. D:

koekoe: LOL that’s so damn sad XD Never mind can use the patung as a voodoo doll.. kekeke. To cucuk those who won’t watch with me. >_>
Saki: A mamak is a food/drink joint mostly ran by Indian Muslims, not locals. Their food and drinks are usually cheap, and there will almost always be large televisions around, so it’s quite a good spot to go to to watch sports and other stuffs. ;P

If there are other people there then you’re not watching alone. ♥
Ask a random stranger to be your best friend for a spell. You’ll feel better after it’s over.
Are they yummy exoctic drinks or lame stuff like Coke and Pepsi? >__>

Yeah there’ll be tons of people over there at a mamak.. Strangers >_>
They’re mostly ‘exotic’ Indian food/drinks, but we pretty much got used to it, so much so there isn’t anything special with these kinda food anymore. :) Would enthrall any tourist though, I think.

Strangers are cool. Just put a padlock on your pants and hope for the best. ♥
I like trying exotic foods. But I fear I’ll get fat so I tend to stay away from them.
Stupid Asian food. D:
