The week before I surrendered my soul to a half a semester-long imprisonment in the jail of studies and assignments, I had a blast going out and enjoying myself in the city of Melbourne, aided mostly by the Melbourne board of CouchSurfing. I’d have liked to go into detail of my days, of the conversations [...]

I took a break from a day wrecked with a storm passing through Melbourne and studies, and was watching the latest 15Malaysia’s short film House, and it made me all wistful and sad, both at the film and at the final scene. Yasmin Ahmad cameo-ed in it, and I stumbled onto a piece through Linus’ [...]

Funny how in the midst of my frantic attempts to complete a research paper (which I actually am enjoying somewhat with the process) I’m allowing a leeway for myself to blog. Nothing much of actual interest really, except that I felt the need to jot this down after having a sudden realisation after I had [...]

Shockingly I’ve been blogging lesser and lesser these days — I’ve only gone for about 3 or 4 days at most without blogging in the past, but with the amazing amount of work on hand being splashed on me like cold water, I can’t imagine allowing myself an hour or two of entertainment on the [...]

It’s full of misgivings, anxiety, lovelorn heart-strings, fanatical excitement, fleeting fantasies, receipts of tales, drunken moments of poetic expressions – and I felt wistful, diving into the scraps of travel memoirs and discorded past. There is something beautiful amidst this mess – I’ve yet to locate what – of seemingly useless bits and ends, that [...]

This is what happened to me in the past week: Thursday, 30th July 2009: Attended RMIT’s Outdoors Club Introductory Night, which they plied us with free beer and free pizza.

So, the inevitable, unpredictable breakdown happened – my 3-year-old laptop died yesterday morning. Or more specifically, the video card died, as trying to load my laptop managed to display nothing but a vicious black, and if I’m lucky enough to see some barely legible images and words, I’d see that it was loading a Blue [...]
