Woke up at 6am - with my head still drowsy to get ready before Eugene’s dad arrives at my house at 7 sharp. So I ate me breakfast, surfed the Net a little and watched The Corrs - Long Night (National Lottery) clip I downloaded yesterday, and bathed.
And the car arrived just on time. I’ll skip past the part where we had to wait for Shawn for about 5 minutes and extra waiting while we were at the driving school to be sent to the Shah Alam institute.
So - on to the lesson. Our Malay teacher had this thick Kelantanese/Terengganian slang, and as we sat two rows from the back, we can barely make out what he said. He cracked a joke here and there (despite his rather thick Malay drawl), and his English pronunciation was actually good.
But when he stopped cracking any jokes and moved on the boring parts, we began to feel bored. I actually slept for several minutes - along with the Malay guy who sported a beard sitting next to me.
So we had our 30-minutes break at a miserable canteen with equally miserable set of food. We’re not sure whether it was intentional or not, but he skipped several sub-topics breezily. Well, all the better for us, really.
The three of us - Eugene, Shawn and I - decided to take our undang (theory exam) this coming Thursday. After sitting on our rear ends for 5 hours, we were brought back to USJ 2, where we had our lunch, and we went to Summit briefly – so we thought.
I was on the phone with my mum when I felt “a tsunami hitting me” (in Shawn’s words). It was good ol’ big-sized Gopinath who headbutted me (==>_>==), together with Siew Keat.
We then went to McDonald’s and without ordering anything, sat there and chit-chatted and caught up on several matters. We laughed a lot, mostly - and both of them said that “high school was the best time of their lives”, which I heartily agreed.
So, it’s the last year of high school for me. Talking to them about education-related matters made me as uncertain as ever about what I’m actually going to pursue - and it all boils down to money. If you have money, you won’t have to worry about pursuing courses you want in comfortable campuses.
They do related all the mischievous things their clique had done - and it seemed much pettier, if not naughtier, than what we had done. Skipping school, stealing things - all sorts of incredible things which I can never imagine we will do. No, we’re not that sort :P
So it ended with Siew Keat driving us back home - I reached home at 5.30pm, almost the entire day gone. But really, it had been a bit fun - brightened up with our unexpected meeting with our two seniors. :)
