5am mamak

Ate dinner behind my house at Meisek Restaurant about 7pm plus with Heng teman-ing me. Heng dropped by for a session of DotA (yep, finally got around to playing it thanks to Matt and Bryan <_<) on my old desktop PC which was amazingly laggy that after 40 minutes of fruitless attempts against bots we decided to drop it and go to Shawn’s instead.

Left house at 9pm to pick Ding, and went off to Shawn’s place to play mahjong with Yen and Heng, as always. Luck wasn’t at my side, or I was playing some horrid strategy ‘cause I lost about RM20 in total. >_> Yen decided to stop playing ‘cause I lost enough.. and was taken over by Shawn. Lovely luck like how I only had one freaking flower for like 5-6 rounds in a row.

Never mind, never mind, you always learn something new. *comforts self* Since we played till 3am (almost 5 hours worth of mahjong), it’s equivalent to two movies = RM20, right? *comforts self*

Yeah was desperate enough to make a completely un-related side-bet with Heng (with the bet being money I owed him – RM1.80?), about the smallest planet in the solar system. XD

Amazingly, we didn’t even notice the time.

Ding brought his PS2, and we played this Olympic 2004 game borrowed from WH. It was stupidly hilarious to see characters of the fugliest proportions and facial features attempting weightlifting, short put, etc. The series of highly funny sporting events in the virtual Olympics 2004 ended at 5am.

Went for a short mamak session at Syed Ariff. Not a single customer was in sight, save for the workers. An empty mamak was rather unusual, but then again, at that hour it was probably normal. Wind was blowing rapidly at some point, with what smelled like the moist of the rain and the sea.

True enough, after fetching Ding back home, it was raining torrentially - by that I mean switching your wiper to the maximum and your windscreen was still as blurry as ever. After dropping Andy and Shawn off at Shawn’s place, off I scurried back home at 5.30am.

Not too bad I reckon.

Mercury is the smallest planet. D;

I’ve tried playing that MahJong thing a while ago, I think. Is it the game where you have these chips with different symbols and numbers and you have to do something to make chips of similar symbols and numbers go away and you have to get rid of all of them to win?

I sucked at that game.

wtf I thought I replied. Guess the comment didn’t go through.

Anyway, like I was saying, Mahjong has many different styles of playing throughout the world, and the one I’m playing is the Malaysian variant. I don’t know if you call chips over there, but here we call ‘em tiles. :)

It’s a pretty entertaining, mind-boggling game that passes the time away very easily. :p

Chips, tiles.

Same thing. Srsly. >_>

I’m more into things that don’t make me think much when I don’t have to. Thinking’s cool, I just prefer to not do it.
