Advent purchase

Dear readers,

I came back from what could be the longest studying session I’ve ever attempted at a library, from roughly 2.30pm till 8:40pm. That’s including an hour we spent eating our dinner, chatting, and whatnot, outside the library - me, Shawn, Heng. And we’re not even studying any extraordinary hard, mind-boggling subjects yet -- this is only freaking History. >_<

I strongly believe that an individual can only take in so much information in a day, cramming in every single last minute information into your damn head. When I reached home, I had a headache. There goes my plan to finish revising 6 or 7 more Form 5 topics. Heh.

When I went online, Jon immediately told me the good news his dad finally settled our Paypal account (a long technical story most of you wouldn’t be interested to hear). Which means I can start purchasing! Previously, I wanted to buy m-flo’s latest CD - BEAT SPACE NINE, for almost RM100-RM110 or so, until I was reminded again of Advent Children’s existence.

And guess what?

I bought it.

FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN (First Press Limited Package Edition)(Japan Version)

...XD

For USD$52.25 (RM196.68). Bloody bastards increased the price in one day (I recently checked only yesterday) by USD$6-7, that’s about RM20. Sigh. Hopefully there will be some extras not included in the normal version to make me feel better about purchasing this “limited edition”.

There is also a USD330+ (RM1300+) Ultimate Edition package, which has an uber-l33t T-shirt, 2 extra DVDs (an OVA and FFVII: International PS2 game), a mug (I think), a Cloud sitting on his bike model (!), and goodness knows what else.

Frankly, I’d be willing to go that far if I have the money. If I’m rich.

Expected delivery date: Sep/22/2005

Whee.

Also just realised that the DVD is Region 2, and I’m not sure if DVD players over here can play it… but my heart tells me not to worry. Hehe. :p

While I was bathing earlier (you know, when you’re tired of reading History and try to stop random facts from appearing randomly in your head), I was thinking all sorts of “What if” situations till I stopped at “what if your best friend is gay”.

I had a close friend whom I caught surfing gay porno (incidentally, today’s BMII’s first passage talked about porno. LOL) on my own computer several years back, but then it’s sort of pretty much understood -- you know it, the end. I asked him ‘bout it the next day in school and he gave some pretty lame excuse, so I ended the convo and changed topic. No need to spread to the entire school of such knowledge, and we’re pretty much still friends till now.

Which is when I wonder how people in Malaysia take homosexuality. A recent sexual discussion among my classmates this year led me to believe there are still people who are extremely conservative when it comes to sex, but then again, you can’t really force your beliefs on other people.

So answer me, dear intelligent bloggers. “What will you do if your best friend is gay?” (and if you don’t know, ‘gay’ pretty much extends to girls as well.)

My mind is pretty mangled now, so I guess I’ll do some revision and sleep soon. End of entry.

i thought about this before. seriously, i would like a gay best guy friend. it would be so fun and i can shag him if i feel horny without any attachment. haha.
but if i have a gay best girl friend, it’ll be kinda hard for me. but obviously, i hope nthg would change. she likes girls, so? i would most prolly think if i’m hot enough to her liking? hah!

Hmm a threesome with her and my boyf sounds good.
I’m kinda open so don’t mind me.

for that one sec I thought you said ‘beastie’. Which I think it’s better left unsaid < <

hmm. I don’t see how a gay bestie would be dangerous.. lol. Unless he tries to be funny. >>

Bi friends are like neat. Best of both worlds. :p Don’t have one though.

i seriously would not mind. i mean, there is nothing wrong being gay. i agree with suet about a gay best guy friend (not the threesome part) that having a gay guy friend can be extremely fun.

The conclusion, i don’t think i mind having a gay friend. But i guess i will only know how i seriously feel until i actually have one.
