Airport dash

It seemed as if time was flowing too fast, or too slow, since it was only one week since we finished our SPM and with the various outings we’ve been going to, we felt as if it had been weeks since the end of our high school – with nothing but a tiny spark at the mamak joints.

Set off to go to Pyramid yesterday at 6.45pm with Heng and Andy to watch The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Mel, Heng’s friend arrived shortly after we did.

Going to a busy mall like Pyramid seemed to enable you to meet with your old friends almost everytime. Like how the other day I met Jesslyn from USJ 13, or yesterday with Julia from USJ 4. People just appear most unexpectedly, but all these short meetings were merely hi-byes.

Narnia..was unspeakably good. Its fantasy enrichment in terms of landscape, plot and characters were a fresh breath of air – and I somehow prefer this movie than the boy wizard’s latest instalment. Despite what Julia warned me, “it may be a bit too slow for your tastes”, it seemed alright to me (if you want a slower movie, go watch Sepet). TheStar newspaper gave it an A, and I would give it a 4 out of 5.

Right after it ended at about 10.20pm, we dashed for the car, picked Heng up from the front entrance of Pyramid due to him waiting to see Mel off, got caught in a traffic jam at Summit then picked Kai Tzin, Jess and Esther – to go to KLIA to see Suet off as a surprise.

Traffic jam at Summit.

It was like mad speeding at the absolutely straight highway (I haven’t been to KLIA in years) and..everything was expensive, from the highway toll (some small silly incident I wouldn’t want to detail) to the parking fees.

After dropping Kai, Jess and Esther at the entrance, we had to look for parking. Done parking at Bay B, we went to the Departure Hall in search of the rest.

Found Suet wearing..a blue coat thingy, the official attire for the Youth Exchange programme. After talking for a short while, we took an equally quick group photo then bade her goodbye while Esther screamed “SUET LI!!” when she went downstairs to the..checkpoint, or whatever it was, since I know next to nothing about airports.

The group photo.

Going down…

And off she went to South Africa.

The airport was huge and beautiful. With that horizontal escalator.

On the way back it was less taxing, since we weren’t in a rush. My parents would kill me over the petrol used.

We dropped by at Tanjung for a quick bite/drink.

Fetched the rest back and reached home at 1.45am. Yet another crazy-ass outing-till-late-midnight.
