2 Jan 2009 3:06 amMy head is being battered with an odd sense fatigue induced by alcohol and a lack of proper sleep (more on this on the next entry) – for the past few days (actually, weeks) I’ve been quite busy, so I haven’t been blogging much properly. Last week alone I’ve been playing badminton twice, and the week before that thrice, and I found that I get tired less easily (when playing badminton) and my stamina seemed to be improving – guess all the repeated playing pays off.
On Monday (29th December 2008), Jess’ family threw a party to celebrate Alexander Koh turning 1, and quite a lot of us were invited. Sarah picked both me and Wai Hong up and we were the first to arrive at nearly 12pm. Because I’m still awfully tired I’ll just post up pics and write captions instead of writing an extremely detailed entry.

The rest streamed in a little later after Sarah, WH, and me arrived. There was also lots of food (satay, curry chicken, pasta, nuggets, etc) – with Shawn bringing three dishes he cooked at home such as an actual ratatouille dish. There was also an incident where I accidentally used the sambal sauce to pour onto my spaghetti instead of the tomato sauce ‘cause the colours for both were similar. >_>

A party-ish atmosphere.

Fook Siang also arrived, as well as Esther and Adrian. Poor Jess was constantly teased by us wtf.

Laughing at something.

Jess’ uncle posing for Shawn (who was using my camera at that time).

Alicia and Jess.
Halfway through the proceedings, me, Shawn, Ding, and Andy went into Sarah’s car to go back to her house to simpan baju as it was going to rain at that time.. and after lepaking for a while in her house, we dropped by at a petrol station to buy cigs for our two smoker friends who requested us via the phone.

Laughing again.

And again wtf. (Sorry head too bronzed out to think of anything else to write.)

Uncle Loi asking me how to install a wireless router/modem, to which I couldn’t help ‘cause I wasn’t that sure myself. >_>

Alicia, Alex, and Vincent about to cut the birthday cake.

I find this pic bloody hilarious HAHAHAHA!! Parents and child looking skyward for some reason wtf.

Alicia pinching Alex’s cheeks in an attempt to pretend that he was blowing the birthday cake.

Alex excited to open his present.

The only reasonably okay shot that I have of him smiling.

Smashing the birthday cake and messing up the floor – typical of a naughty kid.

It’s damn hard to snap photos of babies ok wtf.

Ryui Bynn and Sarah.

Wai Hong holding onto a ‘rare’ Ferrero Rocher, whatever that is.
We then departed at about 4.30pm, and all of us guys headed to JS SS15 to play Left 4 Dead.. incredibly fun. :) We played for about 2 hours plus, then after we picked up Sarah (RB and Andy went ahead first), we went to Bukit Rimau to go for RB’s house-warming gathering.

Food was already cold when we arrived at about 8.30pm. RB’s new house was impressively huge, and since there was a pretty tight security before we can even get into the neighbourhood, the bungalows there have no fences at all, which meant that anyone could easily stroll into each other’s compounds.

Unrelated to this pic, but the décor of the house was tastefully chic – we were also given a tour by RB around the house.

A small part of the impressive kitchen.
We also went outside to play ‘Monkey’ using a football on an empty field right next to RB’s house – a neighbour also warned us to be careful as there are snakes on that field, which we didn’t encounter throughout that night. It was a little tiring and difficult to play a vigorous game right after we ate, so after a while we stopped playing and gathered in a circle on chairs on RB’s car porch and sat to talk.
We went back home at about 11pm, ending an incredibly long day out.
---
Tuesday night saw me, WH, Heng, and Ding going to JS again to play Left 4 Dead, and this time we played campaign maps rather than versus maps the night before. Insanely fun – we were also asked once on how to host a game by a Chinese dude in a black shirt, and it seems that more and more people are picking up on that game (as the game has not been cracked properly, creating a game is a little complex). We went for the 3 hour package (only RM5!) and played from 9.30pm till 12.30am.
We also devised last minute plans for the next day’s New Year’s Eve outing, and after playing at the cybercafe, I dropped off WH and the three of us went to Jon’s house for a while as I initially wanted to get Backtrack 3 from him, as I have deleted the file from my hard disk already. We tried to hack into a few WiFi spots without any success, although Jon taught me a bit on how to do it.
About an hour later or so, we went to the mamak at USJ 1 to eat, before finally returning back home.
