30 Nov 2004 5:14 pmOkay..watched Alexander at Summit today with Joe, Jon and Dekz at 3.30pm (THX).
For a three hour show..it’s interesting, ‘cause personally I like Greek mythology and well, learning more about this historical/mythological figure’s pretty nice.
Those without the knowledge that men of Ancient Greece are bisexuals may find the movie a little..shocking, or disturbing. Alexander the Great himself has his own lover, Hephaiston (unsure of the spelling), his best friend of childhood. And the great man himself marries an Asian girl called Roxanne. (And apparently Achilles has his own male lover too o_O)
I’m actually surprised that this movie wasn’t banned by the conservative Censorship Board..knowing them that any hints of homosexuality depicted in shows would be banned (like one of the 3R shows shown over here).
One of my favourite characters is no doubt, Queen Olympias, portrayed by Angelina Jolie. I know nothing about Olympias, but Angelina’s sudden drawl and slang in her voice makes her character one of the most interesting and memorable ones. XD
Alexander..good show, really.
As I type this I’m currently at Jon’s house, back from some supper with his church friends..some crazy laughing lot that reminds me of my own clique.
Two days back, I have been having weird consecutive dreams that do not make any utter sense.
The first dream:
A group of soldiers herding a group of children towards the big monsoon drain on the roadside near Seafield 3 (my primary school). Then they kill the children one by one by shooting at them, and the last one..the girl. I dreamt about this particular girl throughout that night.
The second dream:
Uninterestingly, it’s a ghastly sorta dream..a nightmare, but I don’t feel frightened. This ghost keeps haunting this Malay bride-to-be, my entire family is there, and the place is near the sea.
Going to Kuala Selangor later..kinda excited. :D Will be watching John Doe (heard from Shaun/rhodry that today’s episode’s rather exciting) so I’ll be catching it later at 2.30am. And that done..I’ll be Mapling with Jon now ^^
