Three things I like to talk about today:

Yesterday, someone mentioned about “school politics” and it struck me how seemingly real it is. We were supposed to do the NIE (Newspaper in Education) contest thingy, and were divided equally into 3 groups (of 9 people each), and here’s where the battle begins.

There are people who are total introverts (worse than me, in fact), and somehow for one reason or another they’re like the outcasts of the class. And this particular group doesn’t want to take a particular person, yadayada, and I find it pretty insulting and disrespectful for these people. Nevertheless, I’m sick of the mentality of my classmates (most of ‘em), so I kept quiet and tried to memorise the lyrics to: m-flo loves Yoshika – Let Go.

Then, there’s this fight over who should be the next head prefect among the prefects themselves. Factions appear, and ultimately they’re divided. Sounds political, no? It would indeed be an interesting topic to write about in the newspaper we’re gonna create for the competition, but teammates hit out it won’t be appropriate. :) I concur.

So..today’s the birthday of the Indonesian-born and bred dude: Heng Li. I woke up at 7:30am for some reason (skipped school, ‘cause most of my classmates are going on an excursion to this nuclear research place, which I didn’t know existed in Malaysia). Went out at 10am with Shawn and Heng Li to Pyramid..and we watched The Pacifier.

For some reason, I didn’t find it as funny as I liked it to be. Either Shawn’s sister’s comments that it was stereotypical of strong, macho men who act in comedic movies or something else that made me feel this isn’t that good. The story was pretty typical as well (and dull, if I may add)...and BLAH. It’s soo amateurish. =/

Anyhow that was belanja-ed by HL. :) Then we ate at Fish & Co for the first time..and heck, it rocks :D About RM20++ each set of meal, and I chose this dory fish (poor ol’ Nemo’s friend) mixed with some kinda green sauce (forgot the name); a kola tonic drink (tastes extremely weird), and ice-cream, and skyjuice. Spent half of the bill for them; the food’s good enough and I don’t regret it. :D

So about the birthday boy. When he first came to our school, thought he looked like a gangster but it all turned out he’s just a sport-loving, book-reading, and generally an interesting, humorous friend to have. And super good English. >.< And the perception at first sight changes for sure – definitely a good-natured guy at heart. :)

Thirdly: driving. It just dawned upon me that the REAL driving test is next Wednesday..only 6 days to go! Shawn and I even likened it to the SPM XD I’m still sucky at parking ‘cause I didn’t have enough practice (and dammit, they teach in a very stupid stupid way as well..instructions on a piece of paper like looking at the tiang etc? There’s no tiang in real life! =.="). I’m okay with driving on the road I suppose..but the driving lessons I went for the past few weeks are a load of bull, just like Moral Education in school, because you don’t get to apply it in real life anyway (I’m an auto user >.<).

Yeah, so I get really jittery. And nervous. I NEED PRACTICE. Anyone willing to lend me their manual car for 1-2 hours? =/ Please? I swear I won’t ram the car into that pick-up truck. >_>
