Ass pee emm 2004

The collection of results of SPM 2004 began today. Jeremy scored 8A1s, 3B3s..while Zhu Yi scored 5A1s and 5A2s..and Gopi 7As.

Congratulations and stuff. My class seems to be excited about this as well and went busybody-ing around which I wasn’t particularly pleased about..they were obstructing other people who was supposed to be there at the ruang legar.

It was their moment, and it was their lives. Their results were pretty good in my opinion, much better than the previous batch.

To that lunatic who scored 17A1s, congratulations and stuff. To the local media and bigshots who heaped praises and hype on this girl who set a nation history – stop.

You people are encouraging parents to go on a “why can’t you be like this girl?” craze. For once, I’d like to see an article that states something different (and I found it, on this blog), or place less emphasis on it.

That blog post makes a lot of sense. She took Basic Science when it’s a core subject for Arts students, and when she already had Bio, Physics and Chem. Why the hell did she bothered taking it at all?

The rest of my sentiments are adequately summed up as that-girl-has-no-life. Despite all the activities I participate that took away quite a lot of my time from class, at least I enjoy what I do. Maybe she enjoys studying like mad daily, I dunno.

But please take down that ‘Amazing Amalina’ article from the class(es). The media who started it all has made teachers doing this rather useless action of photocopying that article and pasting it in all classes.

And what for? To remind us that we’re stupider than her? Or want us to set a heart-stopping record-setting 20A1s? Maybe I’ll try for a heart-stopping record-setting 20G9s. That would be fun.
