Back after a hiatus | Privacy

I shouldn’t even have shifted from this good ol’ blog of mine. Features and all in modblog means nothing if I can’t even retain my privacy.

Parents and perhaps some people might find it odd why I blog if I want to keep my privacy intact. I don’t mind telling the entire world what I’m doing ‘cause they do not know me at all.

I caught my bro reading my diary once, my dad reading my e-mails once, and my parents reading my SMSes in my cellphone several times.

I tire of this. I’m sick of this lack of privacy, and they don’t seem to understand why I make such a big deal of it. They called it disrespectful of me; my mum and her weird family values thingy are driving me insane. I’m no longer her “baby” anymore as Lisa puts it, and she really need to let go.

Let go. Let go. Learn to let go.

And I’m tired now. After arguing/listening to her for two hours, accidentally overwrited my file in my MapleStory fansite that will take few hours to redo, Pn Cheng rejecting my Leo Constituition I wrote in English (she wants it in Malay as it’s the official language of the country; bullshit) which I took about FOUR FUCKING HOURS to type, and mountains of idiotic folios and homework which seem to grow endlessly.

I tire of this. I need to let go of these.

Well, like I said, we all go through this with our mothers. If she won’t let go, then make her think she doesn’t need to. Make a compromise without saying it’s a compromise – a clear request for privacy in an apologetic way should work a treat. For example: “I’m sorry, Mum, I didn’t realise that you felt out of touch with my life now. How about we start spending more time together so that you can get to know me as I grow into a man? That way, you still know all about me, but my friends’ own problems and my advice to them remains separate. Then we’ll still be in the routine of spending time together when I move out as I get older! I think it would be a great idea…”

Works a treat, trust me ;) You get time alone and she gets nice days out! Then she’ll be less likely to call you every day when you start Uni like my mother did >_<

Thanks Lisa, again. :P

She seems fine now, but from talking to a friend it seems it’s what Asian mothers seem to go through. >_< They feel lonely and stuff as we grow up.

I’ll give it a try.

heys clem, good to see u here. i thought u’ll really give up the world of blogging man. don’t forget that it was YOU who gave me the strength and inspiration to start blogging. (cue:awww) touching eh?

about your family, different family has different perception on how to live their lives. if you already tried talking to yours, then there really isn’t much you can do but live with it.(like my speech only)

so whtever it is, life goes on.i’ve had moments i wish not to remember but again, this too shall pass.

sometimes, i feel so isolated. friends everywhere but they remain a safe distance from me. i don’t like tht but then again, i’ll realize it’s just me worrying for nothing. life still goes on. that’s the most meaningful cliche at the end of the day.

Thanks Suet. :)

Yes, exactly like what posted at board 811 on GameFAQs.

I’m letting this go now.
