5 Dec 2006 1:40 pmA package came in the mail from Hong Kong on the 29th November. Opening it revealed 3 items!

Sorry ‘bout the picture quality, but it doesn’t help that I’m snapping it in my bedroom with a horrible yellow light that doesn’t work hand-in-hand with my camera. 3 Utada Hikaru singles, from left to right: Boku wa Kuma (?????, Special Package Edition), Dareka no negai ga kanau koro, and Be My Last (CD+DVD).
Special package edition of Boku wa Kuma (which means “I am a Bear”, I’m seeing wtf faces forming as you read) contains a pictorial booklet specially drawn by Utada herself! Not to mention that such copies are limited.
So what’s so special about the copy?

I’m amazed that I can actually read it, thanks to the furigana on top of the kanji, but then again it took me quite sometime to finish a sentence. Yeah, it’s like reading a child’s storybook, because the song is sang for some children’s TV show, Minna no Uta, in Japan.
Online shopping woot.
It’s a cheeky little lullaby, the song that is, and even more amazing is the fact that it reaches #4 in the overall sales of singles in Japan, for a children’s song, heh.
You can listen to the entire song from the music player at the sidebar. If you don’t see the song, try pressing Ctrl+F5, or clear your cache and reload it again.

Cute eh? I’m probably slightly biased simply because it’s an Utada song, but whatever floats my boat. :)
