Boleh pinjam handphone battery ah?

I woke up yesterday morning at 10am with some burning sensation to my eyes. Let me reaffirm to you again that conjunctivitis is one of the worst form of sensory disorders.

Anyhow I then decided to play Shadow the Hedgehog instead. When you just awoke to pain, trying to sleep again isn’t really a good idea so I played some games to entertain myself.

In the afternoon I took a fairly deep nap and felt much better doing so.

After collecting the forms from David’s mother at night, I dropped my dad back to our house, then went to pick Heng up about 9.10pm, then drop ourselves off at Shawn’s abode.

Apparently, to inform Shawn of our arrival, or rather, ask him if it’s convenient for us to drop by at his house, the short phone call went, “Hey Shawn we’re coming to your house now okay laaaa byeee” and hung up without giving him a chance to speak.

Brought my Shaun of the Dead DVD over, a hilarious British zombie romantic comedy, which I’ve watched 2 times excluding yesterday’s. Also watched Chicken Little, which was just..alright, if compared to truly original animated shows like Shrek or The Incredibles.

Oh, and Shawn finally shifted a TV and a DVD player into his room, so it’s definitely convenient to watch anything at all there. *cough*

Heng also brought his Form 3 picture with him…

...and we compared. Look at how we’ve grown, or in Shawn’s case – in girth. Heng looked particularly gangster-ish with the stare and the glimpses of red hair.

A before and after. Also the ‘capped’ hair.

After finishing the two movies at about 1am, we went to the nearby Tanjung mamak. Almost choked on my food after laughing at all the jokes we threw about.

A look at the surrounding of the mamak.

The ane was just walking past by.

Our limau ais.

Shawn munching on his nasi lemak.

There was this feeling of being..extremely contented, yesterday night; the simple pleasures of life: watching pirated DVDs at a friend’s house, hanging out at a mamak stall with a few friends and laugh over the stupidest things – I find that rather blissful, things we take for granted and not repeat the same in the future when we grow older over the years.

I can truly say I’ve never been more contented than yesterday’s simple trip to a friend’s house.

Went back at 2am.

---

At 12pm today, walked out under the hot sun with Heng to scout for nearby salons. Finally settled on APT, Taipan, and went for senior cuts.

A before pic, snapped at my house.

..and after.

What, I don’t look any different? Unless you’re expecting me to get a complete makeover like doing some pink-dyed spiky hair or some punk look.. the pictures don’t do me justice since they don’t capture every angle of my crown.

I finished earlier than Heng, so snapped this. It’s an alright place, and it’s only RM18 for the senior. Some Eric guy, who was supposedly from ‘junior’ ranks the last time Heng cut with him had been promoted to senior, and was the one who did my hair.

Oh yeah, here’s a short tale of what happened on the way to the salons.

We were at Shawn’s lane, right at the opposite of his house, in fact, when a white Saga (or whatever car it was) stopped by next to me. Heng conveniently walked to the other side at Shawn’s house while I, who was on the phone with Andy, was stopped by these two Indian guys. I hung up on Andy and said I’ll phone him back.

Eh boss, ini macam mana mau pergi ar?” Guy at the passenger seat showed me a namecard, that said, in obvious words, “Jalan Puchong, Kuala Lumpur”.

Like, wtf. How the fuck would I know when I’m residing in Subang Jaya?

Tak tau la dei, ini card dia cakap Jalan Puchong, sini Subang lah. You pergi KL cari lah.”

Now, jengjengjeng! – his question.

Eh, boleh pinjam handphone battery ah?”

We’re using phones of different model. Logic denied. Actually I don’t recall his question exactly, but he then also said something like, “Eh, pinjam kredit.”

And all this while, I was standing one metre away from his car, recalling the incident when Joe got robbed of his handphone and wallet at knife-point by some motorcyclists at USJ 6, right during the SPM season.

Fearing that a good Samaritan like me might be compromised by a bunch of cellphone battery borrowers by hurling a knife at me, I told him quickly, “Tak mau lah, sorry sorry. Ini saya mau pergi rumah kawan I” and walked towards Shawn’s open gate.

Oh, and I was carrying my digital camera with me too, so that left me open for potential robbery, especially when kind ol’ me might have “PLZROBMEKTHX” plastered over my face.

I was contented with my haircut.

Also went to Pyramid at about 3pm by Shawn’s car; Heng dropped by my house earlier for some PS2. We went to Sunway Hospital first to drop our application forms at the HR department, while Shawn and Ryui Bynn went to visit RB’s auntie who just gave birth.

After purchasing the Narnia tickets for this Thursday night and walking around Pyramid for a short while, Shawn, Andy and RB decided to eat at the Chicken Buffet restaurant (it was freaking RM18), leaving the cashless Heng and I to walk around aimlessly.

After I purchased a few buns from BreadStory, we then dropped by at the nearest cybercafe for Gunz for about an hour for only RM2. Thinking the rest should be done eating by now, we went out only to have them tell us “gimme 30 mins more, or one more hour lah”.

...I was slightly pissed at this, after we’ve been subjected to random walking for ages while the others sat comfortably nibbling away at the flu-raged fowls.

Walked around Pyramid again, and scouted for RM5 gifts for tomorrow’s early Christmas party at Adrian’s. Found some pretty nice ones at the RM5 shop.

After done with Pyramid, went to the ticket machine and tried to pay.

The freaking machine kept rejecting the ticket.

Finally pressed the ‘Help’ button on the machine and talked to an Indian lady on the other end for assistance. Had to go to some floor to change the ticket.

It was also called as ‘Car Park Help Desk’.

The rest were kicking away for a while with the new ball RB bought, at the rather empty car park at the highest floor – 9th.

Was goddamn tired in the car; reached home about 8 at night, with no paper money left at all, having spent a lot on various necessities – that is, necessities to having fun and enjoying life.

I’ve been spending a little too indiscriminately these days.
