5 Oct 2007 3:25 pmMy posts have been coming at a less frequency lately, more so because this week I conferred it the Busy Week due to the abundance of assignment and presentation deadline and a Law 100 tutorial test (involving writing a two-page essay in 45 minutes wtf) all falling on the same day – Wednesday.
OMFG if you remembered one of my recent entries, I mentioned something about an extremely last minute discussion to be held on Monday, and on Tuesday night, I went to Starbucks SS15 (leeching off their electricity) to meet up with Roy where we discussed our PowerPoint slides on my laptop – this went on from about 8.45pm to 11pm. Prior to this discussion, I rejected Ryui Bynn’s offer to DotA wtf, much as I liked to go, I know my priorities better.
..or so I thought, as once our discussion was done, Alvin phoned me at the right time that their round has finished and I should quickly join them for the next game.
Which I did =D wtf. This is when I had done naught on my presentation’s preparations, no scripts to roughly remember, nada wtf.
An hour later I went back home, turned on my laptop which I placed earlier in a hibernating mode, and I was greeted with a black screen staring back at me. Apart from hearing my DVD drive and my laptop’s fans whirring to life, there was absolutely no other indication that my laptop is otherwise alive.
After sweating it out for 20 minutes by trying a multitude of possible resolutions from forcefully pulling out the battery as I turn on my laptop to cursing my laptop’s mum, I ruefully resigned to my fate. That is until I remembered that my presentation files are all in my laptop. ![]()
Thankfully though, I remembered Roy had a backup of said files prior to our departure, so I had nothing to worry. Except that I now have nothing to prepare against since I needed to look at the dang slides to actually even to be able to prepare.
And then, I went to bed.
Wednesday morning I woke up to another series of bad luck. As I woke up extremely early to get to my college early to meet up with Roy to finalise our presentation and report materials, after donning my only long-sleeved presentation-worthy shirt, I realised it has an ugly, burned, iron print on it wtf wtf.
Okay lah no matter, I was in a hurry and had no choice, so my mum fetched me to college, and at that junction in SS15 where you turn to the left and you’ll find the post office and Metropolitan College on your left, our car got banged by an Unser from the back WTF.
We quickly parked at the roadside, and regretfully I had to leave my mum with the lady who knocked into us as I was rushing. My mum later told me that the perpetrator is INTI’s secretary, Bennie Yip lmao, who very responsibly ensured that we will get paid for our damages and reassured my mum she wouldn’t run away like a million others who would.
Long story short, I completed my somewhat miserable and shabby script during our lab session and presented whatever we had. Quite a huge relief when everything was over, especially when some of my collegemates told us that our presentation was good (though I honestly doubt my part myself) and our PowerPoint slides were impressive (done hurriedly the night before and the morning of Wednesday itself rofl).

Gideon, Roy, and me – obligatory group picture almost every time we finish a presentation. Don’t we look smart lmao.
You young’uns who have yet to present for college will not know the treacherous paths we had to go through wtf. After the initial huge relief subsided, I was then forced to literally memorise essays for the upcoming Law tutorial test (like Chinese primary schoolkids wtf, not that I have attended any).
Wednesday night, set off for McD’s to study/do homework with Ding, then went to Jon’s house to get my laptop fixed which in the end I fixed myself as Uncle Loh had some holy communion with some church members. At the Dell support forum, I got a reply saying that all I had to do was to take out my battery for a few minutes and plug it back in which I did, and yes it did work like a charm hallelujah wtf.
After recovering from my initial ecstasy at recovering darling Roxanne, we proceeded to DotA.. and reached home at 4am wtf.
Therein lies the lifeless life of a study-hating DotA addict college boy wtf.
