My parents went on a Chinese New Year decorating frenzy, and it’s still about 3 weeks before the actual date of CNY itself. My mum even bought a Christmas deco item from Ikea - it resembles a halo and it’s surrounded with lights. Really neat.
So yeah, should you pass by my house at night, my porch will be glittering in red – thanks to the lights and lanterns put up.
I’m looking forward to CYA’s award dinner night (Celcom Youth Ambassador, for those who forgot) next Saturday. It’s going to be held at Hilton’s (not sure whether it’s gonna be PJ or KL) - but the thing that spoils it is we’ve got to go to school on a Saturday. Oh wow. Thanks to the Monday holiday we’re getting next week which had to be replaced =.=. Not that I’m complaining there’s another day off.
Shawn talking about him feeling that we’ll win gets me all worked up. I had not placed a thought whether our team would win ever since our last presentation that had me going “I’m proud of us” only for that particular time. I was so sure we’ll be winning something at least – until Suet showed us other websites other schools came up with, their activities etc.
Still, should we ever be announced as one of the top three winners, I will do either of the following:
- Hug someone nearby and proceed to cry
- Hug someone nearby tightly while screaming out loud
- Stand up and scream in utter ecstasy while performing a vague little dance
- well…the list goes on.
I can still dream, can’t I? :P Even if we don’t win, the whole experience was a great one - enough to make me ponder and re-think my future careers properly.
At the Add Maths tuition earlier at night, Suet showed us a few SMS she received from Pn Anisah - and boy, our teacher advisor for the CYA team used such informal language that other teachers will never dream of using. She’s a pretty cool teacher; very sporting :D
So apparently we were asked by her to wear “baju yang glitter” or something.
After tuition, Jon, Shawn and I went to Shaaz nearby and ate our dinner together. We were reminiscing our days when we were in Form 1, and then, Shawn and I discussed about our future possible careers and stuff while walking back home.
Now, I’m getting more and more uncertain about what I really want to work as. My earlier passion for journalism died a little thanks to someone who told me it’s not a very good source of income. I dunno.
Pn Anisah’s career analysis thingy had me in the “Science + Arts stream..leaning more to Arts”. So really, what do I want? Shawn was very much passionate when he talked about wanting to be a pharmacist (because of its good pay), about his sisters wasting his parents’ money of almost RM100k when his sisters worked with something totally unrelated to what they studied in colleges.
I don’t know if I want Form 6 - my parents can’t afford me to go to college. I’m clueless. I really need to make up my mind.
