Day 4: Late to school?

So I cycled casually to school, leaving home at about 7.20am after cutting some slight “growth” on my fingernail, dodging the traffic which lately seems to be worse than last year’s.

As I reached the school gate, the guard smiled at me and I politely smiled in return. Then I got off from my bike and wheeled it into the bicycle shed when I noticed a long queue. And a lot of students.

Now, I wasn’t late. I was not bloody late but for some reason, this obese lady of a teacher stood wagging her cane at the whole lot of us. Oh my.

So we were deemed late, which I’d think not ‘cause I reached on time when the bloody assembly hadn’t even started. Usually I’ll be pissed at such injustice, but I played the ignorant and stood there with other students commiting the same crime.

Until along came another man, and both of these teachers threatened to have our photographs taken and sent via e-mail to parents, as well as have our facially-gifted photos plastered on notice boards.

Now I’m feeling pretty rebellious. And pissed. Really pissed. The lady in question told the three of us, Kai Tzin (prefect), Shawn (koperasi) and I (koperasi) that we’ll be given special treatment. And so we were left wondering.

And wondered we did ‘cause we didn’t get to have our photos taken. For some reason we were left out. But who the hell would bloody question it anyway.

Soon Pn Cheng arrived, followed by Miss Then who still sempat buat lawak with us - she joked and related a tale when she was in Form 6 and almost reached school late by cycling. Then the headmistress arrived.

Nothing much really, except that we wasted a complete fucking hour doing nothing but standing. It’s a waste of bloody time, I say - and it’s not through our fault.
