De Fete Champetre

Prefect’s dinner named De Fete Champetre, which actually means “outdoor festival/party” (I’ve checked), despite whatever feast they claimed it meant, was held yesterday.

Heng Li dropped by at my house at about 6:10pm, then Shawn and Andy arrived 20 minutes later. My dad fetched us to Sheraton, PJ.

Didn’t had as much fun enjoying the food as I had expected; I took too much rice, too much of a particular dish as I didn’t know that there were THAT many varieties of food (haven’t been to a hotel buffet before), and had to rush as Shawn, Andy and I had to snap pics and video the performances, and whatever that went on.

The highlight of the event had to be the last part of the dinner. I was slightly elated when I won the lucky draw (didn’t win a “lucky” draw in ages) but it turns out to be M&Ms anyway, and well, had fun cheering for Ridzwan who got THIRD for the lucky draw, and Farrael who got SECOND for the lucky draw (all from our own table). Then for the grand prize: Sarah went up to collect the RM300 speakers! (which is actually Heng Li’s, since it was his number) We clinked glasses together, and practically acted like clowns. :P

Then there’s the solo performance by Eugene, which I had to admit he can sing. That’s when the girls danced around on the makeshift dancefloor, then HL, WH and I went up and basically fooled around with Eugene on the mic.

It ended at nearly 11pm. Best Dressed for guys went to Afif, although I thought that Andy should have it as he was extremely smart-looking in that black formal attire of his, coupled with a matching white tie. After the entire thing, some photography session to those who asked for it, and kemaskan the PA system.

At 12am, we had everything done and dumped the load of equipments at Eugene’s car. We walked to SS15, with me extremely tired, head numbing. At first went to Club 7, but it was packed with people (and smoky as well). Then went to Salmon Steak but it’s closed. So we went to the cybercafe instead, and played several rounds of Gunbound.

At 1:15am we stopped playing (Heng Li and RB played something else while Andy, Shawn, WH, Eugene and I GBed). Then we went separate ways and went home: Andy’s sis fetched Shawn, Heng Li, Andy and I home. HL’s hp apparently rang several times before :P

All in all, it was okay – enjoyable.
