Deutschland ist siegreich.

Went to Shawn’s house yesterday to catch Germany’s final match against Portugal at 3am.. technically today. Heng and Andy were there, Jon as well but he went back early without watching.

Played several rounds of mahjong while waiting for the time to pass away from 11pm onwards.. this time we played with money (more like my first time) but used what Yen termed as student’s rate -- we betted small amounts ranging from 10sen to RM1 which’ll take ages to fill in the Koh family’s money pot.

Suffice to say Shawn, Heng, Andy and I managed to watch Germany vs Portugal till the end, from 3am to 5am. Surprisingly I was only mildly sleepy throughout the proceedings, and on all three of Germany’s goals, I missed them the first time whenever I turned away for a mere few seconds.

Excellent end to the match with Germany winning 3-1, mostly thanks to Oliver Kahn’s excellent goalkeeping. Third place pun boleh lah.

Jon and Andy playing on the laptops, with Andy using mine. Nice symmetry.

I dozed off like a timber, that when the other two buggers placed piles and piles of assorted blankets, pillows and other materials I didn’t notice nor budge much.

I woke up at 11am, then we went off for lunch with Andy at Asia Cafe (horror), with me eating the Japanese ramen that tasted fairly mediocre. Andy was also at the clinic earlier to check the results of his comprehensive blood and urine test which showed unwanted additional cholesterol and uric acid.. time to reduce those meat and seafood eh? Hehe.

(This is also while wearing the same pajamas-like attire the entire day, having not taken bath since I woke up so you can imagine how undeniably sticky and dirty I felt.)

Also at Shawn’s house in morning when MTV was showing their MTV Jus programme, there was this Indian videoclip which Shawn recognised as the popular song which most of his collegemates sang daily. We went to search for it, and Heng ended up downloading You Are My Sonia in the movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham in Ares, which got me really hooked. Will upload to my musicbox in the near future. :p

We went to FTZ.AsiaNet cafe for RM2.40 for the one hour plus we played on CS. We also visited Denise Wine at SS15 to look for any neat wines to purchase for Andy’s birthday.. which we didn’t buy in the end. Dropped off at Andy’s place for a while too, and went back home at 4.30pm.

Sorry lah am not concentrating well writing at the moment, being in Shawn’s room filled with Shawn, Heng, Ding and Jon with rock music blasting off.. it’s a sight to see three laptops working together at once, haha.

Right.. signing off now. Time to watch Italy win the World Cup in three hours time.

2 Thoughts to Deutschland ist siegreich.

Excellent playing from both sides, although Italy clearly played better from the beginning. :D
