Sorry for the lack of interesting posts lately, but because it’s the exam fever currently, I can’t afford to go out much so I can’t really report any interesting things (unless you’re interested to know how I spend my time sitting my ass off yesterday till 2am, when we were supposed to commence our Add Maths Super Marathon yesterday, which had to be cancelled ‘cause Eugene wasn’t at home till 6pm, so I ended up not studying anything apart from History).
Right. So 3rd lessson out of 4 today, and I think I’m getting used to it. Driving on the roundabouts scare me though, cars whizzing by and my mind had to think in a split second whether to move or not. But I’m about 50% confident on my driving now, so it’s good enough I guess ^_^
So Suet, Heng Li, Shawn and I were at Eugene’s house studying Add Maths 2pm onwards – with Wai Hong arriving much more later. Didn’t learn as much as I wanted but oh well. So the three of us (Heng, Shawn, me) were inside Eugene’s Kembara, and he drove us around on a joyride searching for food with his newly-obtained license.
After we went to Fatty Ho (USJ12) and found it closed, we turned back and headed for Tanjung (USJ9). Now here comes the heart-stopping incident.
At the traffic lights where the probation driver was supposed to U-turn, he accelerated suddenly while still in a turning motion, resulting the car to shake violently and it almost smashed into the shoulder of the road had he not cleverly handle the stering wheel properly. Shawn, who was at the passenger’s seat almost peed in his pants and was clinging onto his big self, while Heng Li and I who were at the back “assumed crash position” while my heart froze momentarily. In that split second, I’m not sure whether we screamed like little girls or accepted whatever was ahead calmly - whether we’d die or live - but I’d like to assume that it’s the latter, being the calm gentlemen we are.
So yeah, food at Tanjung was good and the maggi mee goreng was the best I’ve ever tasted. And the kashmiri naan we shared was darned good as well. Went back to Eugene’s house and resumed studying a bit before we went back at 8.30pm - which Eugene drove us back home. :)
