22 Feb 2006 1:41 pmA short mahjong session at my house yesterday night with Daniel and WH (9pm-10.40pm). Fetched Ding to my house first at 8pm plus before we hung around awaiting WH’s arrival.
Jon came shortly after, followed by Andy; after dropping off WH at his house, we went to Tanjung for a quick bite/drink till almost 1am. Apparently everyone else is reverting to a normal, healthy, sleeping lifestyle (even Ding!) by sleeping incredibly early (like, at 11pm? wtf) and waking up even earlier the next morning. Wow.
Both Jon and Ding expressed their interests in getting a DS (ever since this ‘pirated kit’ came into existence that allows infinite free games to be downloaded and played <_<), but Ding is more keen on a Nintendo DS Lite (yay, more DS kaki!). About 4-5 people told me about the DS Lite yesterday, courtesy of The Star’s In.Tech, but it’s sorta like old news. :P

Official picture from Nintendo’s website. Pure white and incredibly sleek-looking. But ‘course, I’ll stick to the my scratched White DS I have :P

Comparison between the DS and the DS Lite. It’s only about 20% smaller, 60 grammes lighter, and supposedly the battery lasts 8 hours longer or so. Also, the brightness can now be adjusted.

There are probably more colours to come. It’s more expensive than the DS though (it’s sold at around RM640 at lik-sang, compared to about RM530 for the DS I bought over here). Nintendo DS Lite release date in Japan: 2 March 2006.
It’s sexy like an iPod, but probably only suitable for those who has not own a DS yet. Go get one people! We can play multiplayer games wirelessly then :D (sosososososo many games you know.. literally sucking away my waking hours).
