Fragments of four days prior

A fragmented post. Non-chronological.

The night before I got my new air-con, I slept downstairs where my living room’s air-con was finally functional after a repair. Then and there I thought to re-watch a few songs from the Utada United 2006 DVD concert I bought last year.. and still, her songs amazed me (sigh I recall watching the entire concert in a span of a few days while I was in Laos on my iPod sighh).

It was timely for some alone time to take a break from my online game addiction and do something different for a change. And I felt that tingling sensation again watching her belting out my favourite songs, like Passion, with her in a dreamy gown with frills and laces flowing about her, and fast forwarded to the encore , the Kingdom Hearts theme song which first introduced me to her.

Sadly my television’s audio seemed a little garbled playing her DVD which detracted me from the full experience.. but it did brought about a sense of calmness.

Three days ago I logged in into Friendster after not doing so for months, having switched to be a full-time user of Facebook. There were two friend requests.. one of them I’m shocked to learn, after clicking on his profile, was my ex-high school teacher who didn’t teach me WTFFFF.

But of course lah I was naturally skeptical, thinking it was a joke profile created by some mischievous students. But then after straining my eyes to look past the flashing pink hearts (NO KIDDING) at the background, the profile seemed too detailed to be a joke. It was real. And he tYp3s l1ke dis.

That did provide some needed comic relief as I was laughing out loud to myself. (Buzz me on MSN if you want the profile link.)

I then browsed through a few other profiles of people who were barely acquaintances, whom I briefly met. I browsed through their pictures and felt a tad bit sad at all the lost innocence, that suddenly we grew up too fast that we were still teenagers in an adult’s body. That all the unnecessary pain and the hurt suddenly seemed essential to grow up, and.. it was sad that some handled it incorrectly and ended up ruefully lost.

On Sunday before our Japanese class began, Shawn and I went to Secret Recipe, Taipan, and bought an Oreo Cheesecake for our sensei, after learning earlier in the month that her birthday was somewhere towards the end of April. So it was shared between the 5 of us – me, Shawn, Ding (WHO STILL OWES ME DAMMIT D;), and the other two classmate-siblings Jeamie and Jason.

When our class ended, we took out the cake from the refrigerator (which was in the MCA centre wtf dunno for what, there were a carton of Carlsberg inside a few weeks back), and sang a birthday song. :)

Damn ugly la the writing seriously, but since it was written by a staff who doesn’t speak the language.. it was only to be expected. It says “Teacher, Happy Birthday”.

Lee-san blowing the candle after making a wish.

Then the next day she treated us at Shogun, Pyramid – how awfully generous is that! She told us we had been studying really hard and she was satisfied with our JLPT 4 results (which I think wasn’t all that).

Anyway Ding picked me up at 1pm from college, then met up with Lee-san and her husband who were already there, and later on Shawn dropped by, followed by our other two classmates. It was my first Japanese buffet and I liked it (unlimited sushi and sashimi, I like :D), despite the fact that it was obviously pricey, about RM43++ per person.

Shawn chewing his food.

And then we took off at 3pm which was when the buffet ended. And our stomachs were all bursting at the seams at the extremely filling lunch.

Despite the ban, surprisingly I got over it quicker than I expected. Probably because I had two other games to finish, The World Ends With You on the DS, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII on Wai Hong’s borrowed PSP.

I collected my Macroecons II test results yesterday from the lecturer, and she asked for my name while she flipped through a pile of papers to find mine.

Her: Clement ah.. why have you been missing my tutorials!
Me: Tutorials? I got come to every tutorial! It’s just that I didn’t come for a few lectures… (didn’t finish the sentence ‘cause I blatantly ponteng her lectures wtf)
Her: Ah here’s your paper. Very good ah.

I got a perfect 15/15 damn unexpected ok! That seemed to prove a point I was trying to make to her indirectly, that even if I don’t come to lectures (which are completely dull and uninspiring, especially those morning ones which I’ve had trouble keeping my eyes open to) I think I can manage on my own.
