Futsal

My first futsal game ever, in fact. Gopi happened to mistakenly book the field/court at Sports Planet, Summit from 2-3am, instead of pm. >_> Funny, really.

Shawn whipped his handphone and phoned another futsal centre nearby, Rio de Futsal. Apparently cheaper, and better ventilation.

Of course, being the horrible un-sport-y person that I am (and haven’t kicked a bloody ball in ages), I felt myself tired too soon, and my toes began to blister on my new school shoes. I think it’s rather obvious that I don’t play well at all; I heard a passing remark from Gopi’s two cousins that “I wasn’t good at all”.

I’m not sure whether to be unduly pissed, or ignore ‘em, because strangely enough, I’m feeling surprisingly calm. Or maybe I’m just used to unkindly/rude remarks, since my clique usually hurl verbal abuse at each other rather frequently.

Yeah, I’m not wearing specs at all (don’t want mine to be broken again), so with my power at 500+, I can barely make out the faces and the outline of the ball.

I can’t differentiate my teammates at first >_>, but after a while it got okay. I got switched to the other team (Shawn’s) from Gopi’s (and his two cousins) as they thought I got in their way. Fine with me.

Being in a team with Shawn and Heng Li means they know you’re weak at futsal/footie, and they passed on helpful remarks (“Just keep trailing your opponents” “Don’t move too far from your position - stay in the center!”) and the like. Neato.

Sitting in Siew Keat’s car proves to be an inspiration of some sort. This dude is careful and seems perfect with his driving. The two of us and Saravana watched Kungfu Hustle at Summit; a rather funny stupid Chinese show, but that’s what it is. Some parts are rather original, unlike some clich?d Chinese kung-fu dramas.

All in all, went out from 1.30-6.50pm today. At least I’m not at home staring at Streamyx’s slow connection (it has since been restored..at about 8pm).
