4 Feb 2007 3:30 pmFriday night was when work commenced as usual, and I’ve never felt more robotic in my life. Looking at the invoices on screen while I punch and key 10-digit numbers on the numpad that mostly begin with 1402 or 490, then pressing enter, it’s a process that repeats itself until my bloody right thumb ached.
As I was doing the monotonous routine, half of my mind wandered about, such as what I would have done had I not put myself through such ludicrously simple yet dull work. Images of myself sitting in front of the laptop watching Heroes or working on HS or playing Wii or my DS conjured in my head, and after mentally torturing myself that way for the next few hours, I made up my mind for good.
I’m quitting! Ah, what brave step to break this horrible monotony.
I managed to sneak in several shots when employer was away on Thursday.

Look how horribly cramped and shabby the office is.

Outside of the office was a dark and badly-lit warehouse-cum-factory.
Yesterday night was one of the most amazing nights we’ve ever been out as a band of ex-high school mates. Sometimes I blink in wonder how we managed to meet up at least once a week, and now as more and more people can actually drive, chances of meeting up naturally increases.
I proudly welcome Ding into our highly-trained profession of drivers, with him obtaining his license on Friday. I was also his 3rd passenger after his mum and Mei Yee, woot woot. *bangga*
Ding and I went for a romantic non-candle light dinner at Bali-Bali food court near Summit, a sad reminder of what became of our Bali travelling trip. It was actually quite a pleasant place to eat, even though it overlooks the ever-busy roads of USJ 1. Apart from it being a little similar to Asia Cafe, it actually has an annoying DJ that plays really stupid songs (among them a local song called “Chow Kit Street”, go figure) and constantly promotes the food stalls and beers, heh.
I ate a Vietnamese BBQ Chicken Rice which was actually very, very good.
Had really a good time, not unlike some who couldn’t bear the idea of two people going out together to have fun. Had also a somewhat emo talk which was quite emotionally satisfying.
We also went to the USJ 1 cybercafe to play DotA and CS (hoho what else two guys could do eh?) till about 10.30pm. Picked up Kai Tzin, Andy, then we went to Suet’s house to decide our next course of action.
After finished picking various people up from various places (Shawn at Jon’s house, for instance), we went to Purple Hills (again, not the hill’s real name lah okay. Background: Siew Kiat and gang cycled there very often and eventually called it Purple Hills from a formerly popular D12 song, Purple Hills. Damn swt right) for our little gathering. Suet even brought a mat to sit down swt.

Our group of 10: Kai Tzin, Ding, Heng, Shawn, Andy, me, Suet, Esther, Jess, Sarah.

The girls sprawled on the mat/grass. The guys were joking, something about pimping them.

Our little happy family.

And the guys..
There was also fireworks somewhere at the horizon that went on for a full minute or two. It was about 12.40am at that time, so we’re not entirely sure what was on.

Very bad flash because the camera was in the wrong mode. Ding’s face darkened LOL.

Er yeah reliving their superhero moments.

On the tiny picnic mat.

Yep.
The full moon was brightly white when it finally came out from the veil of clouds. Too bad when I was about to snap it, camera battery went dead. -___- Shucks.
Too bad we don’t have a tripod either, otherwise we could snap even better pics.
Was also feeling that not-too-familiar twang of pining for someone, what with the strong night wind blowing, and the night diamonds of the Kuala Lumpur buildings shining from the horizon. Makes you want to cuddle up no? :)
After a very brief nap inside Ding’s car when my eyes couldn’t take it, we went to Sri Melur at USJ 17 which serves really crispy roti kosong. Yumyum.
Reached home at nearly 3am. What a rad night.
