Gotong-royong | Reflect

Yesterday in school, had to wake up early again at 6.30am, but I took my sweet time, and even posted this particular survey-mail at the USJ 8 post box for my RM10 Celcom airtime. So I reached school slightly late, but it’s a freaking gotong-royong, so nothing happened to me.

At first Andy and I went and sat at the canteen to finish up the Leo reports (us being the secretaries), and we pointed and laughed at the Scout members who had to do push-ups as punishment for goodness knows what reason.

Then I went for a spot of photograph-taking with Azim, as I have to do it for the school magazine. So yay, got to skip cleaning drains and stuff. And I didn’t help one bit. (==>__>==)

While the school’s PTA sponsored drinks from the school canteen, it’s horrid insult that they give us school’s tiny nasi lemak and we’re not allowed to eat in the school either. =/ Bleh. The whole thing’s dismissed at about 10.30am.

So the whole lot of us travelled to Maju-maju only to find it packed to the brim, and thus we went to the basketball court near Court 8 instead. And ate our food.

Heng Li and Wai Hong went to play basketball, then followed by Kai Shen…and Daniel and I. Jessica came over too with her sister Justine and cousin Jo Yi; they didn’t play much, neither did I. We did engage a 4-on-4 after the girls went back though, which was fun despite the blazing afternoon sun. I stress, AFTERNOON SUN.

We only went back at 1pm something after getting our drinks from Court 9. Heng Li’s really good at bball.

Didn’t do much throughout the day, except for a good chat with Julia, a good ol’ friend of mine. :) Finally got her MSN last couple of weeks.

Currently am reflecting on my life and myself. Skinny, introvert ol’ me. For ages I’ve been trying to change my social and physical self, but didn’t quite work. Interesting stories I had in mind, when told, sounded as if I was talking about some C-grade movie material. I just suck at communicating, and Andy despite saying he’s Chinese-educated therefore he’s bad at communicating, I’m inclined to disagree. His was a love issue (and I know, it’s a world to him, ‘cause I’ve experienced this thingy before), mine is my own entire life.

I’ve been observing my friends. Most of them converse well, in fact, even the boringest of stories became quite interesting and outrageous when re-told by them. And the ability to talk to every Tom, Dick, Harry and Pakcik in a friendly and honest manner. And spontaneous jokes, I simply can’t crack ‘em.

Extroverts.
