Green highlight

A quick highlight of the past few days, including today.

- My foot turned green. (This has to be the most important highlight of the week.)

- Toshi could carry me up the stairs when he was in school last two days, and he even jogged all the way up. He told me he only weighed about 50kg+

- I feel more worked up now to study Japanese diligently. Despite my parents’ constant discouragement (they were gearing more towards Chinese), heck, I’m targetting to finish studying 4 kyuu, technically Level 4 (lowest grade) of Kanji, and contains 103 basic Kanji (to be considered diligent in Japan, you need to know about 2000 Kanji, and more than that to read newspaper). An interesting fact: each Kanji has an on-reading and kun-reading, and depending on its context, can be pronounced differently. The first kanji you will learn, which means “1”, carries the on-reading of “ichi”, and kun-reading of “hito(tsu)”. Hence that same Kanji can be used in the following compound: ichiban and hitori.

- A haircut in Japan in their salons cost about RM300.

- Toshi hates durians with a passion, and aspires to be an animal doctor.

- He told me that among all girls in our school, he only found Sarah Loy to be the cutest/prettiest. He also mentioned the fact that she looks like a Japanese actress in one of them dramas.

- Adrian got kicked out from his house by his dad for losing his specs, and is currently staying overnight at my house. XD

- I’m addicted to Guang Liang – Tong Hua, even though I was told it’s a fairly old song by now.

- This year’s Malaysian Idol is slightly better than last year’s. Last year only has Dina and Jac, but I see a few better ones this year. Like that red-haired girl.

- Almost everything in Japan is expensive. *sigh*

- Toshi will only be with his 2nd host family for 8 days.

-I’m currently trying to save up for either a laptop, or a trip to Japan.

- I wanna travel/backpack somewhere after SPM. *kicks Hengli*
