22 Oct 2007 11:15 pmI am at once tired, lethargic, but a little happy. Throughout the weekend since last week I’ve fallen sick, and today took the cake when I had diarrhoea/purging in my college wtf. Not sure if my regularly-ordered fish paste noodles from the thin, kindly auntie in my college cafeteria (as my collegemates will attest to) was laced with any unhygienic extras, but it was after the meal that an hour later I had a pounding stomach ache that wouldn’t go.
And just about two-three hours ago I had trouble urinating wtf – when I went to the doc’s, he told me my laosai caused my bladder to overheat wtf and water evaporated and some other fanciful biology stories I never came to expect. Let’s just hope it was true.
And the part about me being happy – after our Accounting lecture ended at 4pm, I was hanging outside the lecture theatre clinging onto a painful stomach despite having shat at the loo earlier. Roy came over to me, “Hey did you know AirAsia has started its RM39.99 promotion to Laos today?” and, my eyes and mouth agape, “SERIOUSLY!?” – my heart skipped a beat and the pain was all but forgotten for that few seconds. I was happy, because I was a little worried that AirAsia wouldn’t be flying to Laos on time and it so happened that they’re flying from 1st December onwards __ and I wouldn’t have to hitch a 24 hour bus from Hanoi to Vientiane wtf.
Reaching home, after Andy left from my house, I did a quick check on the prices at the date I wanted which was indeed priced at RM39.99. Contented with my discovery, I went on to continue laosai for about 20 minutes, checked the price again.. and it had skyrocketed to RM79.99 WTFWTF.
In that span of 20 minutes, the prices had changed that fast wtf. wtf.
In any case, pricier or not, it was still within our budget, and I booked a one-way ticket to Vientiane together with Siew Kiat’s at the final price of RM391.98 on this coming 4th December – here I come, Vientiane. :) :)

On Friday, we had a mini-gathering of sorts at Shabu-Shabu Puchong wtf, are my friends not sick of eating at this Japanese buffet restaurant since apparently Andy and Shawn came here to eat like only two weeks ago or something. Like Jesus are you not tired of filling your stomach with the same food all over again lol.
Left Subang at about 6.30pm – I went in Daniel’s car which had Kai Tzin and Wai Hong, while Andy’s car who already left before us had Shawn, Ryui Bynn and Sarah with him.

Sarah sempat pose when I was discreetly taking photos lol.

The other side of the long table.

Erm a kissing Ryui Bynn and Andy.

Towards the end of the meal we shifted seats a lot to have a better talk with the others – those two fingers belong to Sarah who demanded to be in every picture.

My attempt at an artistic picture kinda failed ‘cause I don’t know to blur the background blahblah with my consumer cam lol.
We ended our dinner at 10pm (more like sit down and chat from 9pm onwards while eating casually, if that association to eating is even possible), then after hanging around in front of Shawn’s house (after sending him back, he was going to Bangsar) deciding where to go next, we went in front of Heng’s house instead. Dad came out and said he wasn’t in.

Erm yeah basically this was how we communicated with each other when we were too lazy to go down and discuss where to go next.
After deliberating various options ranging from Genting (wtf) and Kota Kemuning’s lake, after fetching Wai Hong back, we finally settled for ‘Tarzan’s pub’ right behind my house. It was so-named because Tarzan (whose real name escaped me wtf) works at his uncle’s pub on weekends – and I didn’t even know that despite staying at this neighbourhood for 11 years wtf. And I didn’t even bother to enter once wtf.

No, those drinks weren’t alcoholic – some concoction called Sunset something (name escapes me as well), which is a mixture of 7-up and asam, and yeah the results didn’t exactly please everyone. Also provided was free kuaci wtf which we ate together like a bunch of old men (and woman) huddling together over a weekly senior meeting wtf. As you can see from the picture, we were in the middle of insulting Ding.

Some attempts at low shutter speed photography which again kinda failed ‘cause I don’t have steady hands/tripod.

A look at the surrounding bar – very comfy, homely atmosphere with slow Chinese songs playing, totally my type of bar. I don’t know why I took 11 years to actually enter this place wtf, and there I was looking for such bars near Subang.
Heng Li dropped by for a while and took a Heineken, and after chit-chatting away in our newly found hangout (that is, if the rest liked it because I sure did, compared to boring ol’ places like Tanjung yawn), we had Tarzan calculate our bill and he charged us cost prices wtf
So a bottle of Heineken only costs RM6 as opposed to the original RM9 while our Sunset thingies cost RM2 compared to the listed RM3.50 in the menu. Went back at 1am plus.
Saturday night, we also had an early mamak session at Makbul USJ 9 (sucky food btw, ‘ccording to Heng anyway) from 8.30pm till 11pm. Missed meeting out with the rest – I suppose I realise that DotA was eating into my social life.

And I’m feeling randomly, genuinely happy for someone right now. =)
