Happy Meal

Kai Tzin and Daniel dropped by after school at BK, I mean, after they escaped from school.

We studied till 5 something, then proceeded to McD’s to get some bite. Both Shawn and I got the Happy Meal set for the free Chicken Little toy, but mine’s for Brandon anyway, while Shawn uses it for his own deviating pleasures.

Then we dropped by at Andy’s place till 8 something, went to Syed Ariff for a short while then Heng’s bro dropped me off at their house and I walked home.

I began walking in deep thought, thinking about whatever that was going through my mind. As I crossed the road a huge trailer wheezed past me, the gust it left behind blowing me over and I felt really alive. I don’t want to die just yet, I thought, I have so many things left to do, to experience, to celebrate life as it is.

If there’s any word or phrase to put it, it’s a feeling of being excitingly alive, almost as if I took some drugs. It rekindled something inside me to want to study at night later (which I didn’t do, as usual – good ol’ procrastinating me), to want to finish SPM and tackle something big in the future. To experience something new.

I reached home feeling very renewed, a vigour I have not felt for some time. With some excitement I gave Brandon that Chicken Little toy and seeing him happy was very well worth it. And something really warm melted inside, and they are definitely not my arteries.

Dad proceeded to tell me that the much long-awaited Google PIN had finally arrived, which allows me to “unlock” the cold, freezing cash in our account, the exact moolah in which I wouldn’t want to freely expose on the Net but I can safely say it’s over USD$1000 at the moment :D Well, you see, there is a high chance of Google freezing our account right after the time is ripe for them to send money (it’s a freaking mysterious trend of conspiracies I tell you), so I’m trying not to get too excited about it till I actually see the cheque in my hands. In fact, to safely escort the cheque to my house, I applied for the USD$24 secured courier service, which is nothing compared to what Jon and I are earning, if I may say so. >.>

I expect some “omfg give me some lah!!” or “wtf belanja lar!!” coming from some of you >_> but rest assured I’ll fulfill the latter IF I receive the money ;D To close friends, ‘course.

Or maybe I’ll just invest in shares. Make more money with money. Or do some betting for next year’s World Cup.

In other unrelated developments, I’ve decided not to host a Japanese youth exchangee (now they are short of hosts, heh) after much thinking and getting opinions from other people. After thinking about it for more than 2 hours. I’d go with working instead, I guess.

And the old friend who phoned me yesterday said something that struck me, “If you’re working I wanna work with you too… need to improve my communication skills. Tapi tak nak lah kerja-kerja McD”.
