12 Apr 2007 12:37 amSomething about me irks myself, that I’m too bloody honest sometimes that deviating a little bit – such as telling a lie without batting an eyelid – instantly plunged my internal guilt mechanism into overdrive, a miniature Holy Chen Clem sitting atop my right shoulder whispering that I really shouldn’t have done that.
But really, I did it out of necessity – and I suppose necessity could be just as selfish. Jon’s exact words were, “You’re in deep shit”, Ding said, “Balasan engkau” while Chris told me “dun care edi la”.
Right, so care I will not.
Anyway yesterday I was in Andy’s car on the way back from college in the usual torrential rain, and while on the way to Pui Yan’s house in USJ 6 to drop her off, we were greeted with overflowing drain water that spilled onto the roads, and the roar of the rushing water was quite frightening. After she was dropped off, we went to the usual junction that leads to the main road but there was a massive jam there, so Andy reversed and used an alternative way and again we were greeted with a sheet of water covering the road.
But as we went on, the water seemed to be deeper and deeper that it eventually forced Andy to turn away into another junction, which was when the car went completely dead.
“Holy shit” were the right words to use in that situation, and as we peered out from the windows, the water looked like it was at the same length as the car doors – it was that deep. Andy’s sister, who was sitting on the passenger seat, eventually went out through the windows and discovered that the water was just right below the doors, which meant I could come out without flooding the insides of the car.
Ironically, a Kelisa went pass the same exact pool of water nary a problem, and as the water was quite deep, caused a rumble of wave that was strong enough to smash into our car.
Eventually, Andy’s sis and I (and a kind stranger) helped to push the car atop where the flood water couldn’t reach, and right on cue as if in a tragi-comedy of sorts, the flood water receded just as quickly.
.. like wtf.
We eventually walked to Andy’s house which was a few rows away, I took a hot shower (something which is lacking in my own house), had a change of clothes (into Andy’s lol), and waited for my dad to pick me up. Quite a bad day for Andy alright. :/
At night at 9pm plus I went to Starbucks Taipan with Jon to meet up with an online buyer, then headed to Ding’s and returned to Jon’s for, um, DotA. ![]()
Played till 1am plus, then I went with Ding to USJ 1 for a yumcha between the both of us – something I haven’t done in a long time with anyone at all, to do a 1-on-1 chat with: just chatting away freely about anything that crosses our minds and laughing at our own stupid jokes. I find it relatively relaxing to unwind in this manner – unlike going out with other people sometimes when they’re really more concerned with the grand spotlight on themselves and hearing themselves speak.
We were also watching a football match between Chelsea and Valencia that we’re quite uninterested in while at the same time, laughing at the overreacting football fans that screamed and shouted in the middle of the night (morning?) at another nearby mamak.
Reached home at 4am wtf. I obviously skipped class the next day – well, something I’ve planned in advance anyway. :)
