Jens Lehmann – hero

It feels good. A sense of euphoria/calmness is taking over me now… A lazy Sunday and not so well-spent, but I’ll go into yesterday’s events.

Woken up by Heng Li’s call at 7:20am… woke up far too late, but the Rain God smiled upon us and thus we were saved from doing any gardening at the Leo Garden today. At about 11am went with Heng Li to this nursery by my Serena..Auntie Maggie’s there and being the kind over-enthusiastic soul she is, she actually paid for all the 80 bags of soil. o_O

Went to do some soil-bag-carrying in our Garden, which Andy came over to help a bit for a while.

The same Saturday routine of group-studying at Burger King was held. They have this huge black inflatable Darth Vader in their compound… which I have it in MINE. :P Suet, Andy and Jess were the additional members – and at the end of the session ending up talking about school-related matters which struck my nerve although I wasn’t involved. Double-faced teachers, useless/hopeless students… sigh. All this would end soon I hope, once we are removed from all positions in school.

Came home at 7pm and went immediately to temple after dinner for some boring Wesak Eve nonsense. The first thing that greeted me were joss-sticks, and people wondered why the Chinese are among the highest number of people inflicted with nose cancer. I’m not kidding – my mum recovered from it and currently in a 5-year watchful period, and people should ban that fugly-smelling things which I equate to an equally fugly-smelling cigs.

I don’t see what purpose joss-sticks serve, apart from poisoning your lungs, suffocate and asphyxiate you. I believe this has never been a Buddhist tradition, but the Chinese culture and Taoism. Bah.

Had to sit through a Dharma talk about “how to find happiness in your daily life”. Much of what was said wouldn’t apply to mine since apparently it’s the art of letting go. Let Go. Those two words have always reminded me of the m-flo song.

So the only things that piqued my interest was the statement that the following celebrities have joined the Buddhism realm:

- Richard Gere
- Leonardo diCaprio
- Keanu Reeves
- Orlando Bloom
- Uma Thurman
- Jennifer Lopez
- and many more I can’t recall at the moment

Funny. And I wouldn’t have guessed. Thought naturally they would be all Christians.

Went straight away home, picked up my keys and walked straight to Shawn’s house. If you noticed, my entire day was dominated with activities after activities and this has been very normal as of late. The Leo Gala badges are now ready and after discussion with Geok Leng, we’ll be picking them at Coffee Bean, Subang Parade at 4pm. Two dreams recently conspired and depicted the badges as very ugly-looking items and I hope it isn’t an omen of some kind. =.="

The MU vs Arsenal match yesterday was the most suspenseful one I’ve ever watched..not like I watch many football matches but yesterday’s.. is a heart-stopper. Man Utd had so many chances but they took ‘em failingly, and Jens Lehmann whom I’ve never ever taken noticed of at all now has my respect. Best goalie!

After 90 minutes when the match remained goalless, it went to extra-time and finally, the penalty shootout which apparently was the first since the 1920s for the FA Cup. Lehmann managed to stop Scholes’s shot and that was enough to win the bloody cup.

Lehmann – hero. Arsenal’s darned lucky to win it, and I predict the many MU fans will be snubbed terribly by Arsenal supporters.. like me. :) NOTHING, I tell you… NOTHING can ever replace the magic moment of Andy’s, Heng Li’s and Shawn’s faces..especially HL’s. Too bad in my euphoric joy I forgot to snap their faces, so I leave it to your imagination. :)

The hilarity shall ensue for days. I’m all smiles. Even now. :) :)

Spent 3 hours of my afternoon/evening today watching Troy, which imo was okay, nothing powerful… Kingdom of Heaven is triple times better.
