Jess’ Christmas party

The afternoon Christmas today was mediocre since I had a bad sore throat that made me sound like a growling grizzly bear, that probably frightened anyone who dared to talk to me over the phone. In fact, received a phone call from some lady, and our conversation went like this:

Lady: Hello?
Me: <in deep growling bear mode> Hairlow?
Lady: Oh, errr sorry wrong number! <hangs up>

I couldn’t find the present Kai Shen and I shared/bought for Jess from 1U yesterday, dammit. My memory was so bad I couldn’t recall if I had brought it back from 1Utama, or placed it in my car, even. Its likely status: picked up by some happy bugger at said shopping mall for a really merry Christmas.

After spending enough quality time searching for the missing present, I finally gave up -- made all the necessary phone calls, SMSes, etc. Felt a bit guilty going to Jess’ party without a present.

Went there by Shawn’s car; Kai Shen, Daniel (who finally pierced his left ear!), and Eugene whom all stopped by at my house earlier, cramped into Shawn’s Saga back seat together with me.

Neat little party began at 7pm, we went there close to 7.15. Not much elaborating needed since when you have a party, all you do is sit down, eat, and chit-chat. And the party’s at the closed caf? near the swimming pool btw.

Making the mocktail. First, add several bottles of 7-Up Ice, with ice-cubes purchased from 7-Eleven thrown in for good measure.

2) King Kong is required to add Sunkist and stir the contents.

Jess’ dad kindly took out this nifty coffee liqueur for us, and it’s actually nice. 14.5% alcohol content.

Both Geok Leng and Sarah were highly gigglish when playing with my DS; the dog gets more attention than the owner ;P

There were so many leftovers that we played cards and bet the food instead. Those who lost by the rule had to eat a certain amount of food - like, 2 herbal eggs if you get the highest-numbered card!

Shawn had to eat 1 banana and 2 eggs. Geddit? XD
