Kelly Services

Went early this morning to Kelly Services at SS15 at 11am. Woke up late actually, both Heng and I, and long story short, when my parents were conveniently on leave today, I used dad’s Serena to pick Heng and Andy up to SS15.

Kelly Services does sound like a whore house, though in fact it’s a job agency. >_> What a choice of name.

For lunch before 1pm, we dumped ourselves into this Restoran Sri Devi (some mamak) which actually serves your nasi on pandan leaves. The fucking place was an overheated oven, since they run only on miserable-looking fans hanging on the walls. I thought their dhal tasted funny, but apparently, whatever Heng and Andy were eating was good.

Andy looked surprised.

The rice + curry + vege + fried chicken.

We then headed for Kelly’s. The entire thing was quite pleasant, and it seemed, from what the guy Fairul told us, we were almost confirmed to get a part-time job, especially after Christmas. Or something.

We then proceeded to Games World, a cybercafe nearby and played some..really fun strategy games: Rome: Total War and Act of War. Never really played these games, since the time of Red Alert 2, for some time now—but fun, fun, fun. Andy didn’t play though, so he was only watching us engaging in medieval battles, and we left at 3.30pm.

After dropping Andy off, Heng went to my house for some PS2 till 6.30. I accidentally slept too while Heng was playing; then opened up The Five People You Meet in Heaven to finish it off.

It was quite nice and heartwarming actually, a rating of 4/5 I’d give. A tale about an old man called Eddie who died in a freak theme park accident and went to heaven. Mitch Albom’s idea of heaven is indeed new and creative.

I’ve realised too that, if anything, each and every one of us has some good in us, no matter how tiny. I remembered hating a particular person since my primary school days, but, growing up now and looking at him right now (although he was the most despised person I’ve ever known), it seems like there is good in everyone.

That coming from not knowing any devil reincarnates firsthand. Fucking suicide bombers and cold-blooded murderers don’t count.

To hold on to that belief, gives you a little hope to live in this tainted world these days.
