My pair of frameless spectacles (after rigorous repairs that it looked completely brand new), and contact lens arrived today via courier. Amazingly, my specs was repaired for only RM55 and two boxes of contact lens (for 6 months) for only RM90. And they’re not the cheap stuff I think.
I took almost 40 minutes trying to get the bloody lenses into my eyes (bloody is an inaccurate word, it’s liquid-like mostly). Egads. After quarelling enough with my mum over the lenses and calmed down, we slowly put in these lenses. Slowly is again rather inaccurate, and this activity tested our patience to the point my mum accidentally muttered some Chinese vulgarities. XD
I’m wearing ‘em now, but I can feel the discomfort. It felt like nothing but you know there’s some transparent thingy in between your eyelids.
I’m not too sure if I should regret getting the lenses now, but I’ll go for another round of lens-wearing with Angela, my mentor, tomorrow.
I feel the need to add this. I missed going to JW Marriot KL to watch Marion Raven perform for a private showcase of some sort - my friend won 2 passes through a Hitz.TV contest but I couldn’t go as Yeoh’s untimely extra tuition would have made me rush like hell, plus the asam laksa lunch.
So I missed that -- and my friend said she was extremely good vocally, even when compared to other female singers. Plus she can play the piano and guitar very well too.
Today’s English essay -- as usual, I wrote about 5-6 pages front and back and had to end abruptly. I didn’t even end my story the way I envisioned (I chose the topic Music), Mr Aziz wasn’t clever enough to announce we have 5 minutes or something left, so I was left indulging in my writing and completely forgot about the time. I didn’t have a watch.
But it has an ending because the story ended. Abruptly. I’m not sure if it’s a piece I’d be proud of, but if given a chance, I’ll extend it, improvise it, and post it here or something. :)
