18 Nov 2007 2:32 amIt was funny how during my two consecutive study days with Ding at Leo’s (the first day with Heng as well), we had incidences where people asked if we were studying for SPM or STPM wtf.
On the first night (Friday), we were sitting next to a couple who didn’t look like they were locals: the wife was Asian but didn’t look like a Malaysian, while the husband looked like a Frenchman (from my stereotyped perception based on – where else – Hollywood). So the Wife looked over on the three of us, and started talking to me, asking if we were in Form 4, Form 5, Form 6?
“College,” I replied.
“Oh, you guys look soooo young” was exactly what she said wtf. I don’t know if this was the right time to be flattered, because I’m hitting that big 2 soon wtf.
She continued asking what I’m studying etc, and when Husband learned I’m taking up a Business course, he said something about earning millions of dollars (from what I could gather through the thick accent of his) wtf stereotype. Well in a way, touchĂ©, I guess.
The second incident was hours ago, when this somewhat new waitress who was placing our two wintermelon drinks (their cheapest drinks in fact wtf), asked us if we’re studying for SPM. When I replied “College” again, she apologised wtf I don’t know why. I’m not too sure why studying in Leo’s is attracting all these attention, as if it’s some freakish behaviour or something.
Sadly that’s all I can think of to write because really, inilah kehidupan seorang pelajar kolej yang sedang menduduki peperiksaan wtf. Also started playing Super Mario Galaxy for Wii two days back – and it’s perfect in its execution and all-round fun.
