Lucky streak

Right now at 1am sharp, am sitting comfortably in Jon’s room using his ultra powerful PC. Went earlier at 2.30 pm from home with Heng Li to Pudu Bus Station..travelling with public transportations is sorta like our specialty now, and in one week I figured I’ve travelled to and fro using trains to KL. Heh.

And right now, Jon is playing the guitar (some tunes) right behind me on his bed, keeping my senses and brains alive. Was initially darned sleepy.

When we reached the Plaza Rakyat station to go to Pudu, the walkway reeks of smelly drains and dank vile things besides. Plus, the fact that the building itself smells and looks like a dumping station adds more bad impression to the entire place.

There was only one counter selling tix to Cameron Highlands out of the hive of makeshift counters which were bustling like a pasar malam, probably worse. An old Chinese guy was manning the stall, and he obviously doesn’t speak English. Both of us can’t speak Mandarin, and in the end, mustering whatever Cantonese I know and trying to make the accent sound right, we succeeded in purchasing the exact tickets we wanted. Only the thing is, it’s RM22 instead of the RM15 we expected (prolly ‘cause of petrol prices). And thank God again we brought extra money, so it’s enough. “VIP” bus indeed.

And it’s gonna be a 3 hour 45 minutes drive..egads. Definitely gonna bring Suet’s boyfriend’s book Vernon God Little to indulge myself in. Thing is, since I’m up so late right now I think I might just sleep throughout the journey.

As our plan is jigged a little by the fact that the bus departs at 12.30pm, an hour earlier than we expected, that means we have to leave Subang an hour earlier too – 9am at Khalifah. Heh. Reached home at almost 7pm (bus stuck in traffic jam, as usual).

Now when I reached home, I saw my mum’s face lighting up and said something like I can buy dinner for them. I went o_O and asked, “What?”

“Your bank draft arrived.”
“What?”
“From Google I think..”
“WHAT??”
“USD400+”
“WHAT!?”

Yeah..you get the drift. I didn’t really understand nor believe it at first until I see it in my hands XD For some reason, before terminating my account, Google sent away my cheque, in which I lose about USD100 but still it’s better than nothing at all. Pheww..

And if that’s not good enough, I got lucky in the virtual world in Maple, breezed through the GM’s event easily for the first two stages (thanks to Jon) and got straight into the last stage and won the entire event all on my first try. Woot! XD

Jon prolly won’t appreciate me being still awake blogging at this hour (he’s searching for the Kerusi book and The Pearl), so ending this post now. Going to Cameron’s in 8 hours time!
