Azmir told me yesterday via SMS that some dude contacted him and told him that we can collect our pay after 6pm. After paying Old Town Kopitiam a visit to demand our payment from the new supervisor who was sitting down resting on an unused table, he looked at us blankly as if we were speaking an ancient Chinese dialect.
After telling us bluntly that the “cheque haven’t ready yet”, we stared at each other in silence while I silently plotted my legal engagement against Mr. Lee, small boss of Old Town Kopitiam.
Since I have too much time on my hands, according to a reputable site (by reputable, I mean the first website that turns up at a search result from Google), it was stated that:
Wages earned must be paid not later than the 7th day after the last day of any wage period.
No idea what they meant by ‘wage period’, but one can only assume it’s the entire month, or something.
Anyhow, after purchasing a cake at Secret Recipe, we (Eugene, Andy, Daniel, Wai Hong and I) went to Jon’s house to commence our gambling session with Suet and Barry.
...
I freaking lost about RM20, after losing out my RM6 initial model and continued borrowing from Daniel and Andy, lol. I swear it’s my last gambling session, heh.
We did learn how to play Thailand Blackjack, In Between and the variants of Poker from Barry and Suet.

The table we used as our casino.
When it was ten minutes before midnight, we got geared up and ready to go to Shawn’s place. Jon followed us too. A minor transportation problem occured when Eugene accidentally slipped behind Jon’s gate and dropped the box of cake. Although half of the cake was moved out of its original position, it’s still edible and looked intact.

On the way to Shawn’s after parking our car.

Jon gesturing for lighter from Daniel.

Lighting the birthday cake on Shawn’s Saga.
We rang the bell, burst in (so much for that element of surprise after consulting Yen >_>), sang Happy Birthday, let Shawn blow the candles and set down the cake in the kitchen. He then quickly ran back to continue his mahjong game. >_>

Does it not look scrumptious? Can you feel the Chocolate Indulgence melting on your tongue as you lap it up like a hungry mongrel?
We finally played 3-person Mahjong, and after years of wanting to learn this Chinese treasure but no means nor people to do so, I’m finally beginning to learn. ‘twas fun, really fun - running your hands on the white tiles, taking a tile and brushing it professionally like you see in those silly Chinese mahjong movies, proclaiming the names of the tiles.. all in the name of fun. :D
I FUCKING LOVE MAHJONG!
Finally got the hang of it, although I’m still uncertain with points and such. Waiting for my first shouts of “ZI MO! IDONTUNDERSTANDWHATIMTALKING LIKU-LIKU!”, hehe.
We finally went back home at about 1.30am.
