Me want buy SLC.

Two things that are currently bugging me right now:

1. My poor, poor camera. After receiving an SMS on Thursday yesterday morning that I can collect the repaired electronic baby of mine, my dad and I went to the Bandar Utama Sony Service Centre HQ after lunch, and went back home.

We were told that they have thoroughly checked everything and it works fine, so we didn’t think much about it, until we reached home, played around with the camera a bit by fiddling with the modes and *gasp* discovered that some of the modes cannot be selected - like the all-important night-mode when you want to tangkap basah somebody.

A phone call to their service centre said we can bring it tomorrow (which is today, earlier) to their centre so that they can check it on the spot. We did right that by leaving early at 9.30am (dad was on leave) only to discover that they needed more time to find out what was wrong with it, so we had to leave my camera with them for another week.

I would be pissed had they not have this motto of “fixed within a week” which so far holds true (and the fact that my dad wasted a lot of the expensive petrol going to and fro from Subang to BU twice just to find out that the camera wasn’t properly repaired). I’m more annoyed I couldn’t utilise my camera to furnish my entries with photographs like I would usually do, and capture fleeting moments of candidness or the beauty of Andy’s Sunway Lagoon Club which I will elaborate more in a while.

But to their credit, Sony has awesome, patient hot ladies at their service centre, so that mau marah also tak sanggup. Clever of them.

OHOH and guess how much were the parts that were replaced in my damaged cam??

RM50?

RM100?? Nope.

RM300!?? Nopeeee.

RM440.

Wtf luckily got warranty, if not I’ll drag that girl’s (who was responsible for this irreversible damage) arse to buy me a completely new camera.

2. My door couldn’t close properly yesterday past midnight for some reason, leaving a gap so that animals and other dangerous living organisms could barge into my door while I’m still changing into my boxers. It’s a serious privacy breach since I always, always lock my door when I’m inside, and apparently the door somehow sudah senget. Wtf.

Dad couldn’t fix it, and said he probably won’t change the door too in a long while since it’s gonna be damn mafan. Whattodo? A short-term solution: grab the door knob, lift the freaking door with all my collective might in my flabby biceps and close the door shut. All that just to have a little privacy.

---

I’m back after an evening/night out to the Sunway Lagoon Club again at 5.30pm. Wanted to go to gym to test out the treadmills since I fancy running and my acquired stamina in my Form 2-Form 3 days had probably left me to some other runners, but I conveniently forgot to bring all things related to gym such as tracksuit, shoes, extra T-shirts, etc.

Kai Tzin went alone to the gym while Ding, Andy and I swam in the pool. Oooh the feeling of getting yourself immersed with warm (chlorinated) water - the best thing about this pool that I noticed that it was never cold, so I’m not likely to shiver as usual in pools that I swam in Court 8 and 10.

I sadly also forgot to bring along my goggles (in fact, the only thing that I brought was my trunks and a Giant plastic bag), so I couldn’t swim very well. In fact, there wasn’t any time at all when I swam well, so it probably made little difference.

Andy was the only one among the three of us who had gazillions of stamina as he swam frog-style up and down doing dozens of laps non-stop, only pausing for a short moment for each lap. Ding and I had to stop to get our breath, chit-chat and admire Andy’s unbeaten zeal and zest for swimming for the entire 10 minutes before continuing another lap.

This is also probably my first time doing actual swimming in a swimming pool. Most of the time in Court 8/10 we’d play various silly games involving ball and the more water-acquainted ones would do various acrobatics while still submerged. So you can imagine how exhausted we all were (I don’t know about them, but I sure was) by the time we finished at 8 something.

I don’t have a water heater at home (had always shower in cold water since I moved to Subang when I was 8) - and the only one which is the room I’m using now isn’t functioning - so having warm soothing heavenly water splashing on my body felt like it was god-sent. I felt more at ease, relaxed than I’ve ever been, and nothing beats showering in warm water after a tiring workout (in the water).

We went to have dinner at one of them Chinese restaurants in Taipan, then proceeded to pick Heng up on the way. Andy dropped the three of us (save for Kai Tzin as he had to go home) at the USJ 14 cybercafe, but then discovered it was fully occupied. Heng and Ding went back to my home for a while before we set out in the ungodly huge Serena which I loathe driving to pick Andy up from his house.

Dropped by RB’s like a regular school bus driver and we played at the now ex-RM1.50 cafe (god knows what its actual name is). And hey they have yet another promotion for this month - prices ranging between RM1 and RM1.50 from Monday to Thursday depending on the time, and Fridays to Sundays at 11pm had us paying RM2 per hour.

CS lor apalagi. Funfun mindless shooting but I swear I’m gonna cut down on these visits soon, because a random check on the transaction history of my bank account revealed me taking out a collective RM150 last month from ATM machines, to spend on these random pointless fun-inducing trips to restaurants, cybercafes and the movies.

Huhu.

Went back at about 12am and reached home at 12.30.

So now I’m frigging exhausted, and energy from my legs and arms well-spent. If I have the money and my parents would agree, I’ll subscribe to the RM2000+ lifetime membership of SLC since it’s so bloody worth it (and I’ve yet to use their badminton courts, gym.. and god knows what else).

And dear sweet Dell Inspiron 6400, you are coming to daddy by end of July or August I swear, after months of lusting over your smooth, sleek silver body and your oh-so-impressive internal parts I couldn’t see but know exist, when that promotion of a free upgrade to 1GB RAM appears in newspapers again.

Angela: Yealo, that’s damn crazy. I think even more expensive than Genting’s cybercafes.

Suet: Mine also 15.4” (the one I’m planning to buy I mean), and I’m planning to get the RM92 Deluxe Nylon Case that comes with it, since according to Jon it’s more expensive outside.. or something.

about the door and the privacy – damn! but then if you live in australia, you can feel your privacy totally robbed from you because you can’t lock it. all rooms are like that except for the toilets. sucks huh?
