9 May 2006 4:54 pmMonday evening at about 6.30pm, I went to the cybercafe behind my house to play CS with Ding, Andy, Wai Hong and Asa. Just an hour of fun; I either got pretty good at sniping/head shot-ing or the others’ playing abilities must’ve really detoriarated.
Tuesday evening at about 6.30pm, I went to the cybercafe behind my house to play CS with Ding, Andy, Wai Hong and Asa, well, what dya think I am, a cybercafe addict? (I probably am, but it’s still under control, hehe.)
Andy came to my house early in the morning at about 11am. I have just yawned myself out of bed and logged on to the Internet when he phoned me saying he was already outside my house. swtswt. I slept at 5am earlier finishing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on my DS, so understandably I was slightly tired but otherwise, I’m feeling pretty fine.
After some fullblown argument with my mum that got resolved nicely in the end yesterday night (that’s my assumption), I felt strangely calm - in the sense that I probably locked away emotions that could be telltale signs of weakness. I hated that. I hated being weak.
I went eating breakfast with Andy at Meisek Restaurant behind my house (yeah, pretty convenient to have both a cybercafe and a restaurant right behind your house), then went back to my house again where he helped me with my Chinese studies by double-checking my book to ensure which rare character I probably don’t need to disillusion my mind with.
Wai Hong came by around 12.30pm, and both went back at 2 after hanging about upstairs in the computer room.
Dawdledawdle. Supposed to accompany Jon to Ding’s house to fix up his PC or something, but remembered at the last minute I had an orthodontist appointment. -__- Went there, and after that saw Shawn, Esther and RB who were all heading to Asia Cafe for both dinner and/or pool. Something about them finishing gym.
Dropped by Menara Optometry at Taipan to ask for further advice if I could resume using contacts. To jog your memory a little, last December right before Christmas I temporarily assumed the role of a blind man, due to cornea erosion which was as bad as it sounds like. Suffice to say, the cause of it was not really known, except for the eye specialist’s advice to switch the brand of contact lens.
I went to Menara for 2nd opinion, and the dude told me that it was my hygiene, and he was shocked that I didn’t rub my lens, etc (the multi-purpose solution did say “No Rub”, but he said he still encourage his customers to rub the lens).
Righttt. I was given a probation of 6 months, and more than 5 months later I revisited them again, and lo and behold I was taught the hygienic way to maintain your lens, which involved two different liquids. The ReNu multi-purpose solution, which I suspected played a part in my temporary blindness (months after my incident, the solution was banned by the government for suspected cause of various eye illnesses), I was told to ditch it.
I’m downloading Counter-Strike: Condition Zero right now via torrent, and hopefully once all of my fellow addicts install Ecstasy it in their computer, and this nifty program Hamachi (recommended by Jon, and it sounds like a Chinese bad word), which turns you and your friends’ computer into a single virtual network, we can play all night long. Minus the fun of screaming and shouting “LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!”. Or something like that.
