26 Nov 2006 4:53 pmDing and Kai Tzin came a-knocking on my doors at about 9pm on Saturday after Ding made a phone call asking if he could drop by my place a while. After talking for a bit with Jon online, Jon invited us to his place since he has food/drinks over there.
After finishing my shower, I brought my laptop along and we sat in Kai Tzin’s car, picked up Andy, and went to Jon’s place. On reaching, Jon immediately threw packets of crispy, unhealthy junk food towards us, and suggested we all play this new, free LAN game, called BaboViolent 2.
Jon had like 4 computers/laptops ready on hand, so a total of 5 of us were going at it in this relatively fun shooting game, battling against one another.

OMG FUN!
After hours of senseless fighting, watching Jon’s brother’s wedding dinner on DVD, and totally lepak-ing around, we finally went back at 3am plus wtf, finally getting bored of the game. Complete out-of-the-blue unplanned trip which I quite enjoyed hehe.

Online shopping is like the new fad, the new addiction. For the past week I’ve been somewhat involved in it because I was quite determined to get my very much beloved Nintendo Wii off the Net, and get it sent to Barry who’s currently in the US, who will return on the 13th next month.
In fact, on the day when Wii was scheduled to be released (19th November), I cleverly converted the time to my timezone and hogged the laptop the entire afternoon, refreshing Amazon.com and several other online retailers, waiting for the words “This item is currently not available” to change to something else.
At one point, KBtoys.com’s pages changed to reflect the availability, and Jon and I (who were using mics over MSN to communicate, since typing will slow us down) contemplated which bundle of Wii to get. Just minutes later the bloody thing was out of stock!
We gave it up for the remaining of the day and I tried again the next. Let’s just say I’ve finally ordered my Wii (pun NOT intended) from JC Penney, a supposedly huge departmental store in the US of A. Just phoned their customer service on the same Saturday night at Jon’s house using Skype, and after getting over Michael’s (the dude who attended to me) thick Texan slang, I was told that the Wii has already been shipped and I couldn’t change or correct the shipping address which was my intention when I phoned.
Let’s just pray it reaches in time to Barry. :(
Barry also contacted me on MSN yesterday and gave me links to track jackets, and I fell in love immediately with this one:

Of the supposedly popular US brand Blue Marlin, this is a “grey knit ‘Tokyo’ track jacket”, and costs USD$36 after a discount from the retail price of $59.50, not including shipping price, etc. It’s 100% polyester too.
It’s a beauty of a jacket, though I doubt I’d have much use in Malaysia’s violently hot weather, unless I wear it to my college’s exam halls or to Genting Highlands or something. It’s nice hor??
I’ve learnt quite a bit from online shopping from US retailers. There’s a bloody sales tax for absolutely almost anything you buy.

A closer look of the Blue Marlin. This particular retailer, Bluefly, allows zooming in on the product with extremely detailed clarity I’ve never actually seen before (okay lah quite rarely seen). Malaysia’s slow Internet connection doesn’t help the loading of such detailed images. :(
I’ve actually thought of the cost of the jacket, but since my last cold-prevention apparel I bought was a black turtle-neck long-sleeved Padini of at least 2 years ago, I think this particular Blue Marlin (“a favourite brand among the celebrities here”, said Barry) would do me quite well.

Ding told us on the same night we went to Jon’s, quite proudly, that he passed his undang 50/50. We chortled at the idea. Quite amazing for someone who failed his colour blindness test once, but then the button “Cuba semula” reportedly appeared and he did just that. >_>
PS: Ding owes me a dinner and a movie ticket for this publicity gogogo!
