SPOILERS WARNING
The plot dabbled about Michael Jennings (Ben Affleck) who took on secretive jobs that result in memory-wipe each time he completed them to get a hefty paycheck. He finally took on a final job that would take 3 years to complete, but if you could get an eight-digit sum, who’d refuse?
When he was performed the mind-wipe, he realised unwittingly that he voluntarily dropped a USD$70 million worth of shares and got 20 various items mailed -- from his past self.
Interesting, no?
Turns out that he had helped built a machine that could glimpse the future, which, because of the creation of said machine, caused warfare of unprecedented terms and the annihilation of humanity - in the future.
“If you show someone the future, they have no future. You take away the mystery… you take away hope.”
I thought the worst would be knowing when you will die, like Jennings did -- if I knew I’m gonna die say, tomorrow, I’ll definitely lose all the interest to sustain this life. And probably perform all sorts of (horrible) deeds within 24 hours right before my death. >_>
Mysteries of the future are what that make us continue to live. To be there when the future arrives.

- demands a string of hearts, several seasoned travellers, and two pairs of sloppy sandals. More »
