28 Feb 2006 3:40 pmOn hearing that Ding wants to cycle to Taipan to do his rebonding, I immediately signed up for it, eager to set my legs off my wooden tiles and my butt off my computer chair. It would have been months since I last cycled, and I think I kinda missed it, despite being the lazy arse that I am.
We went to Andy’s house first at about 1.30pm, when he just woke up. After dilly-dallying in his house for a bit, we walked under the trademark sunny sun of Malaysia to the direction of Taipan before we finally resigned to McDonald’s glorious, fanta-bulous air-conditioners. We waited for Kai Shen there.
We went to APT ‘cause Andy has 35% discount coupons, so Andy and Kai Shen went for the haircut (Andy chose Professional, as usual) while Ding opted for the rebonding.
The process looked funny at first, what with Ding’s overflowing long hair and all, and at one point during the treatment, his hair has the almost exact look as my character’s hair in MapleStory:

After eating/drinking in some restaurant in Taipan for a bit, and talked about various stuffs which include the inevitable “what course are you taking in the future?”, we went back to APT and sat near him. The hairstylists and all were pretty friendly.

A look at the weird heating machine and the surrounding premise.

Another look at the inside of APT.
We passed the time by talking, playing with my DS (comes in handy all the time ;)), and reading magazines that were on a rack near us.
And after waiting for 5 hours, ending at 9pm, here’s Ding in his crowning glory (pun intended).

Thought he looked good, though might take some getting used to (after all the money spent as well!). And there’s something related to this - and other stuffs for that matter - that I like to quote, from the Reader’s Digest I read:
The clothes we select ourselves are a better indicator of who we think we are than our faces or our bodies, which we didn’t choose. Clothes are our one chance to right whatever physical wrongs God imposed on us. They can be a mirror of what’s inside, a veneer of camouflage, or a map of your aspirations.Amy Spindler in New York Times Magazine
Poignant eh?
