1 Apr 2006 5:55 amMy apologies for not blogging for several days, because there wasn’t anything of interest to write about.
Thursday night, I went out with Jon, Ding, and Kai Shen to the USJ1 cybercafe (where Kai Tzin joined us shortly after) for an hour of CS. I will probably be going there more often for my cybercafe needs because it’s only RM2 from Monday-Thursday, and me being a regular bummer at home, will find it extremely delightful for the 50sen cut-off discount.
At the mamak following that, we discussed the possibilites of having a personal trip ourselves to one of the islands in Malaysia for Kai Shen’s April sunny break from college. Nothing concrete whatsoever at the moment.
Friday morning yesterday, woke up to play Maple in the morning when Singaporean noobies are still sucking on the pacifiers in their schools, when Suet MSNed me telling me that she submitted her entry for IMPAC Dublin. o__o
Edited my old, long-defunct story by changing the ending to suit their topic of “If I could change the world” and submitted it. At first the e-mail got bounced back, so I phoned TheStar’s HQ, was diverted to some guy responsible for it who told me that their e-mail inbox has 11 pages worth of e-mails which result in said bounce. He gave me his personal e-mail address for me to submit instead, woot.
Friday night, after being hair-tearingly bored at home, phoned Andy repeatedly and he said he could take us out. Both of us went to Taipan at first at about 10pm to go to Baskin’s for their 31% discount, but with the queue behind horrendously long with 30 more people ahead of us, I gave it up.
Went to Old Town Kopitiam to try and get Andy’s pay which he couldn’t. Being surrounded by the quaint, quietly busy cafe brings back a pang of nostalgia.. especially the Myanmar workers whom I still have a soft spot for. And learning about good ol’ Aye (who I have a hard time understanding) who apparently hated one of the Myanmar Kopitiam workers, and going to KLCC yesterday to get an RM30 guitar. lol.
We picked Daniel up, phoned Suet only to learn it’s too late for her to come out. Stopped by near the USJ14 cybercafe, when Andy suddenly decided to follow Ryui Bynn and Shawn to pick up RB’s dad. Heh.
After several minutes of brainstorming session did we finally crash Jon’s house up to 1.30am, which is when we left for a mamaking session with Kai Shen at USJ1.
Went back at 2.30am.
