Shabu-Shabu Revisited

I was down with a bad case of flu/cough with a colourful ingredient called the fever (lasted only about a day or two) into this destructive recipe of vile disease – which explains apart from focusing on my upcoming presentation work and DotA, there wasn’t really any desire to do anything else.

Yes I still am sick at the time of writing. Yes, I’m also still sick of going to the toilet every few hours with a dustbin on hand, carefully and desperately trying to sniff out the excess liquid in my nostrils that is the mucus. And yes, I do feel coherently lazy when I’m sick (or maybe I’m already lazy all the time anyway).

Brandon and Sannah
My bro with the girl he wanted/wants to marry, Nur Sannah.

Friday night – the usual DotA session at JS SS15, after Kaos closed down.

Saturday night was spent at Shabu-Shabu Puchong, where a horde of hungry people were already there queuing up.

Shabu-Shabu
We were all waiting at the entrance…

Shabu-Shabu
Shawn was proud that a white SLK has widely proclaimed his name with an A+.

Shabu-Shabu
Originally intended to snap these 4 young men (or really, 3 young men and 1 still underage dude). We sat apart (4 on the sushi bar, if that’s what it’s called, and 6 on a table) as there weren’t enough seats to accommodate us together.

Shabu-Shabu
That’s Andrew in green, who’s leaving for Australia in June.

Shabu-Shabu
That’s the actual amount of food that Shawn and Esther grabbed to their hearts’ content, even before the pots of soup arrived (despite the pic showing otherwise).

Shabu-Shabu
Group pic outside the restaurant minus Andrew.

Our food chomping spree ended at 11pm, after about 2 hours plus of eating non-stop (really, it was only Shawn, Esther, and Andrew who continued eating when the rest of us had stopped pumping food into our stomachs an hour earlier). Ding, Esther, and I headed for SS15, where both Ding and I met up with Heng there for DotA wtf.

I’ve reasons to believe Inferno is now a horrible, not well-maintained cafe – they don’t even have DotA in some of their PCs, and their mice weren’t working wtf. Played till 3am.

And because of this continuous poison of a LAN game played excessively in a short period of time, I actually dreamt about the game two days in a row wtf.

After our Japanese class yesterday, Ding and I (together with FC whom we picked up) went for lunch at Taipan, then to Inspiration SS15 for a haircut. Quite happy with how it turned out (short and spiky, baby), and it was done in like 10 minutes for only RM18, student price. Waaaay better than all the lush, expensive salons I’ve been in the past year, ranging from APT and notably the worst, Snips. <3

Night was spent at Jon’s with Ding, where we were forced to play Maple for an hour before we could commence DotA. Also went back at 3am, not before I spent an hour dozing because Ding didn’t want to go back yet. <_<

Hey, your bro in the school next to mind right? and they had their sports day recently. I heard them rehearsing and cheering while I struggled with my exam questions.
