Sinseh

Went to the sinseh today. Haze was getting worse around here, even Port Klang and Kuala Selangor has been declared in the state of Emergency, having exceeded the API levels of 500. Wooot.

Shawn and his dad drove me to PJ, around SS1 area, where we first had lunch with Shawn’s mum at her office’s canteen, which was a pretty quaint place, and where it seemed that Shawn’s mum have been working at the area for some time, seeing the way she chatted animatedly with the canteen operators. It’s hardly a canteen actually, more like a caf?.

Went to the sinseh, my first thought was he looked unlike other sifus I saw on telly dramas. No long white beard, no eerie mystical look, he looked like any other normal old Chinese men. This Wong sifu is clean-shaven, and wears specs. White undershirt, and short pants. Yep.

I braced myself for a pain-filled session, which would excite sadists and/or masochists around the world. I lied down on a table/bed thingy, and he propped up my injured leg on some hard cushion thing (note: I don’t know the proper names for all these medical/ancient medical stuffs).

After prodding and pressing upon my leg, making my nerve cells work doubly hard to kick PAIN PAIN PAIN in my head, he told me to turn around and lie on my stomach. Oh noes.

That’s when he began to impress, imprint and impale the dullest bruise-related pain any person can endure. I made grimaces and other pain-related facial expressions and finally buried my head into the pillow to resist the pain. It’s almost as if he’s wrestling with my leg, by the look of it, when he twisted it around, pulled, tugged, did everything pain-inducing actions possible, and finally tugged it HARD till I heard my leg cracked. Oh boy. This was while Shawn laughed hysterically by the way.

My poor right foot felt soo.. loose after that. It’s a good sign, I suppose, and that was when he began putting traditional Chinese ointment and whatnot. When he began to wrap my foot with a cloth, Shawn cleverly told me he would do a surprise crack-tug again (and laughed, again). I stared at a particular hook on the ceiling and sang to myself some Corrs’s Summer Sunshine song. While talking to Shawn’s dad, the sinseh pulled it hard and, well, was completely relieved after that.

So ended the 10-15 minutes pain-filled session. And to my horror, after paying the exponential RM60 amount (and that was because he knew Shawn’s dad), I had to return for a second and final session this weekend, to remove the ointment-filled bandage >_<

As luck would have it, when Shawn tried to start the car, it made some odd click noise and refused to start. It was apparent the battery was dead, and the reason for the dead battery was Shawn forgot, for the 2nd time (1st time was at mum’s office) to turn off the headlights when we alighted to the sinseh’s house, but his dad didn’t know it >_>. Shawn’s dad and the sinseh had to go somewhere else to fetch help for the dead battery, and again, as luck would have it, after they left, a good-looking black Toyota MPV (no idea what model) stopped next to us and winded down their windows, filling their car with extremely unhealthy air. Inside, were two chun chicks in a Honda uniform.

Now, guess what would they say to a bunch of odd-looking dudes?

Our first thought was they were gonna offer help. Uh huh. But then the girl who was nearest to the open window said in Cantonese, “Do you know the way to Naza World?”

Both Shawn and I stared agape, who obviously didn’t know where. We apologised, and they went their way. Nooooesss. Obviously we felt embarassed for not knowing the way. Especially with two chun girls. :p

k, apart from going out of the way to the bank and Holiday Villa a bit, the journey home was haze-filled and with heavy traffic jam along the highway. Oh well. Reached home at 4 something =.=”

Apparently, from Wai Hong’s words, only two people from 5A came. Wai Hong and Ryui Bynn. LOL.

They didn’t study (duh), and went to the staff room to have a chat with teachers XD Funnnyy.

Am also addicted to Green Day – Wake Me Up When September Ends. Friend sent me this song ages ago, but I rediscovered this song again.. it’s so soothing, calm in a way. Now I know how they could win their Grammy >_>

Below are pictures from last two Sundays’ Toshi-trip-to-KL pics, as obtained from WH’s camera.

Waiting for other two un-punctual girls, Geok Leng and Suet Li.

In the KTM train itself.

The sticker-printing station thingy was sooo freaking expensive (and complicated to use), that after using it, we syok sendiri and snap pics while inside the station using digital camera. :)
While inside the karaoke lounge, Red Box, Sungei Wang.
Holy cow. JACKIE CHAN LIVE!!! Sadly, the only pic we snapped. :(

And on Tuesday, the first day when the haze started to worsen, we snapped some pics on my camera I brought to school (supposedly to take some prefects pics, but didn’t).

Oh no, syok sendiri.

Egads, freaking haze.
Bad lighting. Bleh. But wouldja look at the haze.

That’s practically what we did for the last two periods of Bio on that day.
