SPM Day 5: Death by Morals

In: School

22 Nov 2005 3:59 pm

Around yesterday midnight while chatting with Heng, my eyes felt magically fine as if the veil of pain has been lifted by the powers-that-be. No more cringing up the eyes, no more having unintentional tears just flow down due to a natural reaction to the fucking microorganisms infesting my conjunctiva.

Went to Maju&Maju at about 11am to eat then study Moral for a bit. By now you should know “studying Moral” seems as wrong as it sounds like.

At 1pm we headed to school, memorising the definitions for all 36 moral values. Fuck, I’m ashamed to say that I rather enjoyed answering Moral questions shot by my friends as it proves my short-term memory isn’t that bad after all.

2pm marks the beginning of our exam, but as usual we went in 10 minutes earlier for the rather comical routined briefing. “Anda tidak dibenarkan meniru, memberi tiru atau cuba meniru. Jika anda berbuat demikian, satu laporan khas akan diberi kepada jabatan dan keputusan anda akan digantung untuk suatu tempoh yang cukup panjang – tiga tahun.” Haha, love the head invigilator. ‘Anda juga tidak dibenarkan membawa masuk sebarang alat komunikasi.”

But no, there’s an extra announcement. A special one.

We apparently can’t go out early from the exam hall even if we have completed the paper earlier because, our beloved Ruby has decided to overwrite the rule set by the LPM and decided that she’s indeed the Queen of all Things.

Apparently she was scolded by some parents for letting their very stupid children out early, when Ruby isn’t even in school to supervise (so, yeah, we gotta understand her in this way I suppose), but why blame Ruby, o’ fucktards, I mean, parents of very stupid children? You, dear parents, have the responsibility of looking after your own very stupid children, not Ruby, and in turn, you, parents of very stupid children, have indirectly caused inconvenience to those who have legitimate reasons to leave early, like yours truly.

Moral was quite..alright, after memorising like anything as it’s basically a paper that tests your memorising skills, not how good you are at being morally right. So there goes 2 hours and 30 huge minutes.

There was a situation in the paper I found rather hilarious (screw that kertas tertutup rule, it’s just a fucking Moral paper and I have unintentionally remembered the questions anyway :)), as given from the paper:

A friend of yours has been involving himself in illegal races. What morally sound advice should you give him?

Illegal racer friend who is bound by Moral standards: Oh, maafkan aku! Saya berjanji saya tidak akan berbuat demikian!! Saya berasa bersalah terhadap keluargaku sekarang, dan saya amat menyesali perbuatanku.

Illegal racer friend in real life: FUCK YOU BASTARD!! WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO DICTATE MY LIFE!? KANINABOCHIBAI!!

And as it is these days, rain was pouring down from the Rain God like torrents of waterfall and we were forced to look for cars. After an unlikely incident in which Ryui Bynn’s boot-door was locked leaving both Heng and me soaked (as the car was completely occupied and the CRV’s boot has enough room for the both of us), we soon set off to our respective homes.

On the way Heng related a tale that apparently, the kurap guy, as he is known, who whacked Sasi with his group of rubber estate’s gangsters one fine day, has apparently died. It was told in one of our study group sessions in McDonald’s before that the kurap guy was in coma after illegally riding a motorcycle when he’s not of age and he was ran down by a taxi.

Now, if I were to abide by the Moral papers and say stuffs like, “What a pity he died (noticed how I didn’t use ‘pass away’?), it’s still a human life lost despite how many sins he have commited,” I wouldn’t be honest, do I?

What I really want to express, in my most honest heartfelt outward opinion to this entire situation of this rather (un)timely death is, “HAHAHA SERVES HIM RIGHT!”

I mean, if I were to put it in politer phrases, I’d say his absence won’t be missed by any of us, that’s for sure. Ironically, he got into his accident a day before Deepavali, the Festival of Lights, so the Hindu goddesses must’ve been at work weeding out evil Hindus, so we say.

The girls may not feel the same way as I do – I’ve no idea why, so your input, if you feel like a female, would enlighten me a little.

Study group for Add Maths resumed at my house at 7something up to 10.30pm at my dining table, which by then my head was spinning about and I feel heady due to a lack of nap and memorising too much nonsense early in the morning and afternoon.

Heading for a good night’s rest, after raining the entire afternoon and night. The bed and the cooling air beckons.

You made more grammatical errors than usual this time, Saigo.

I think having to memorize morals is bullshit, since each person has their own set of morals and interprets information/events/whatever in a different manner. Or maybe it’s a different kind of morals? It’s not like I can read your language. Since you won’t TEACH IT TO ME. >=o ::meanface::

As for that person that died; that’s so sad! I feel horrible for him and his lack of being alive I say serves ‘em right, too. You fuck around, you die. I hope his spirit learned a lesson before he’s reincarnated as a ‘lesser’* life-form for being a dumbass. :]

*Lesser implying the stereotypical heiarchy of society. Humans being on top, reigning supreme over other creatures. Though I don’t particularly see that as being the true way life is ‘organized’ out, it just seems like the average way someone would interpret that particular phrase.

Saki over and out. :]

suet: yeah, goodbye, miserable soul.

Saki: I didn’t notice the mistakes XD Was really exhausted as I type.

Yeah, the paper was completely stupid so there isn’t any point complaining about it since the ministry is likely not to do anything about it anyway.

Yeah, we won’t miss the guy certainly.
