SPM Day 7: Economical Pups

In: General|School

Try as I might, I couldn’t fall asleep even after attempting to at 1am. I rolled about on my bed listening to songs I burned on a CD, while the melodies played in my ears. It was only till an hour or so later did I actually manage to fall asleep.

And then I had to wake up at 6.30am. That brings it to only about 4 hours of sleep.

Went to school for Econs where I was the only one from 5A+5B, the rest being LK students and those from the Arts stream.

When it was time to enter the hall I went to the usual Hall 1 we always went in. One of the male invigilators stopped me and asked, “Kamu 004?” like I’m an agent of the Secret Service, in par with Agent 007. I almost imagined I had those cool, black sunglasses with me if it weren’t for the morbid fact I was about to sit for my exams.

I nodded at him and he said that as Hall 1 will be used for the LK students, I was to join with the rest of the Arts students in Hall 2. So I did.

Another male invigilator, the shaven-head guy pointed me to my place at the first table of the first column. Explaining kindly to me that if I were to be put downstairs, it would inconvenience them as the times for both LK and Econs papers were different. Yep, I was sitting next to Wei Ting and my mind kept going back to Shawn.

...not before the same invigilator placed another student (some menumpang guy) at my seat and had me sit behind him. The entire column behind me, stretched metres long in the hall was empty save for two other people sitting at the other end. Funny.

I was obviously in a state of extreme sleepiness and tried to snap myself out of it. First paper was easy, the second essay paper was as I expected (you know lah, do my own ramalan and all) but because I didn’t revise enough, even though some questions were easy (like, state the differences between the capitalist economic system and the socialist economic system), nothing seemed to be reeling off my head in a fluent manner.

The paper finally ended at 12.10pm, went back home immediately and since I had to rely on my mum’s car to go to BK, I ate a little rice and gobbled the rest of the fish, egg and vege in 10 minutes, showered and rushed to said study group place. Oh, and also received the Google cheque at last by the USD$24 paid DHL. =]

It was completely hectic. By the time I reached there I was half-dead and I was still at the same page for at least 2 hours. My head was reeling from the lack of sleep, and only did I sleep for a bit and laughed my arse out at one of the gang’s usual jokes did I actually feel better.

Something unexpected happened as usual.

A cockroach decided to fall down from the air-con above us and Jess seemed to be the only one who spotted it first.

After deciding that that was the proper time to re-enact Shawn’s worst nightmare, some attempts to restrain him failed (given his total body mass) and he flew out of the doors comically, cowering in fear.

Just look at that horrified face as the rest attempted to smash the roach.

After Andy bravely threw a stack of newspapers on top of it, and lifted it with some useless papers, it was only then did the rest resumed studying. Or rather, chatting.

Jon was there too, and treated the rest of us with 3 packets of french fries :D Kai Tzin, Esther, Jess and Jon were there too among the usual BK clan.

The cake of the day has to be Jess with the following Quote of the Month:

“I asked my mum what is mahai.”

LOL. If you weren’t there when she uttered those words in the most nonchalant, Malaysian English-accented pronunciation of the Chinese (bad) word, you missed out a lot. XD

The discussion that continued was what kaninabochibai meant, which Jess uttered again in that voice of hers of the last two syllables (_chibai_) and got us laughing to tears.

That was when I truly woke up and could finally concentrate of the horrible Chemistry (unintended silly pun) at hand.

We walked around looking for pet shops in Taipan as Esther was looking forward to buy a pup before discovering the RM1,000+ prices that broke her heart. And there was this really, really, cute terrier that melted my heart with chocolate.

Please hang yourself at the nearest available rope if you don’t agree that it’s fucking cute. Also available for download is a small video I recorded of the pup, so feel free to download it.

Now that I took a good, deep one hour nap, gonna study whatever I can of Chem now.

Damn. That dog IS cute. ..But only a little. >_> [By the way, I’ve indirectly made you use ’=]’. I feel accomplished. ::coolface::]

Roaches are abundant in Malaysia. o_O I’ve encountered two roaches in my entire life; both from when my grandmother moved in with us for a little while. She lived in an uber filthy trailer and brought her roach-infested furniture with her. That day was sad. She had two pets and we had to leave them in the trailer to die because there was just absolutely no space in our home, and the Humane Society wouldn’t take them. Jackasses. :| I cried for like.. hours. I had SUCH a headache afterward. D: She’s out of the house, now, and I don’t know where she is. Which concerns me. o.o

You eat too much fast food. O: Though, surprisingly, those fries look good. And I hate Burger King’s fries. >=o

Sorry you couldn’t sleep. ;o I had trouble sleepin’, too. :]

Saki over and out. ;o

I don’t know why, but I’m usually the one who spots stuff like roaches first. No one ever takes notice.

I’m glad to know I, indirectly, woke you up so that you were able to study Chemistry. Haha.
