Sorry for the lack of updates – my Internet connection (namely by the one and only monopolising Malaysian broadband company TMNet with their unreliable product Streamyx) has been largely unusable since last Friday, and I have not been able to get online. I have been randomly hopping to friends’ houses to utilise their functioning Internet connection to get actual work done among others – and I have been quite busy lately as well – thus I have absolutely no time to blog (I’m at Jon’s house now sambil blog sambil main DotA with Ding and Jon wtf).
So we sent off Heng last Saturday early in the morning – I woke up at 5.45am and got ready before departing at about 6.30am and picked up Wai Hong, Suet, and Andy – at KLIA. It wasn’t at LCCT because the MAS tix he bought to Kota Kinabalu was RM20 cheaper than AirAsia’s for his selected date, which was a first.

No trip to KLIA/LCCT is incomplete without going to the marginally expensive McDonald’s.

Suet looking bored.

Another group pic of all of us who were there. (The u8 peeps at least.)

Heng with Xin Min and Audrey who followed Shawn’s car to KLIA.
Heng’s parents were extremely accommodating to us and treated us a round of drinks at McD’s. Also chatted with Heng’s dad for a bit on the way to the departure gate who made constant remarks that we could visit his son at the end of this year in Labuan.. hinting for us to holiday there I suppose. :P

On the way to the departure gate.

Heng after crossing the security check.
And so after seeing him off where he’ll be initially spending a week at KK for his uni’s orientation, we went all the way back to the kopitiam behind my house to eat our brunch. I later then went with WH and Andy to my college to change my one of my upcoming semester’s subjects.

Wai Hong.

Where is the love wtf.

Me coming out from the RMIT office.

Andy.

Andy singing wholeheartedly and me on the phone.
We then went off to Summit to watch Wanted – a thoroughly enjoyable show if you disregard the many seemingly impossible ‘fake’ action scenes that were actually based on a comic book. One of the best action movies this year.
At about 8pm I phoned Ding who said he was on the way to the hospital wtf. Later on while Andy and I were at Shawn’s house to do our Japanese homework, we found out that a GP in the clinic suspected he had dengue and sent him straight to the hospital for further confirmation, which blood and urine tests turned out to be negative. Supposedly some bacteria infection or sommat.
We then watched Eastern Promises along with Yen from the DVD I burned – very draggy film and it was just alright.
Sunday evening after our Japanese class, Shawn and I paid Ding a visit who was on the road to recovery. His rashes were already better, etcetc but noticeably weak.
Monday afternoon I dropped by at Ding’s house in an attempt to use his Internet connection but failed because I simply couldn’t go online connecting via USB from his router to my laptop. =.=” I was waiting for Andy to return home from Putrajaya with his sister so I could go to his house, but instead watched Ding played DotA for 2 hours before I finally go back home at about 5pm because Andy couldn’t make it back in time.
Tuesday afternoon, I was chatting with Chris on MSN and halfway through told him that we should meet up some day. Conversation was something as follows:
Me: Eh long time never meet up edi. We should meet up.. maybe between 14th to 23rd!
Chris: Today lah help me collect laptop.
Me: OK!
So that’s the rough gist of it and I took about 2 hours to reach his office at Wisma Genting – a combination of waiting for the bus for nearly 30 mins, a 1 hour journey to KL Sentral, and then hitching the Monorail to the Raja Chulan station.
After Chris phoned me to ask me to get up to his office, I did so, feeling extremely self-conscious entering such official-looking places with my very noobish hair that I cut that morning =.=” (long story of how the hairdresser at iCube misunderstood my meaning huhu). Chris dumped me his bag and name tag on seeing me and then went off to pangsai wtf.
We then walked all the way to KLCC which was nearby while chit-chatting in utmost concentration that before I knew it we’ve already reached there. We headed straight for the Maxis building (which had pretty tight security – had to give our IC to some counter fellas for a while to get a high-tech visitor pass, jakun wtf) and met up with Susan the Marketing Manager who gave the Dell XPS laptop that Chris won at the Nuffnang Wild ‘Live’ Blogging Party for his now infamous cow costume. Susan also said something like “It’s nice to see you again too” which was very odd considering that I didn’t attend the party at all. o_0

Chris and Susan at a Maxis centre in KLCC where we went down to. All pictures henceforth from meeting Chris were shot using my 50mm f/1.8 ‘cause I mistakenly chucked away my 18-55mm kitlens thinking it was the 55-250mm that I hardly used =.=” (I wanted to save on some space in my lousy camera bag to bring along my Haruki Murakami book – The Wind-up Bird Chronicle – to read while I was commuting to KL.)
Since Chris won a sleek RM4k laptop out of thin air, he decided to be generous and belan me eat at a top class restaurant. =D We decided to go to the top floor of KLCC where all the posh restaurants are and entered a Vietnamese one.

My sugar daddy LOL. It was sooo nice to meet up with someone whom I can talk to about nearly everything so freely and be interested in the same things as well, especially when my world does not collide with his.

Chris and his new laptop.

Me with the ugly hair that Chris calls an Ah Beng hair huhuhu, and new laptop.

An excellent appetiser I forgot the name to, for 2 persons. Damn crunchy and delicious assortments.

There were fried onion rings, mushrooms, etc.

My Tamarind Fillet Fish Rice with a Thai-like sauce. :D It was quite good.

Chris’ 5-Colour Rice.
I think my portion costs nearly RM50 or something. D;
We then went to MidValley to teman him collect his fixed camera and buy some bak gwa before doing some spot of grocery shopping at Cold Storage’s Gardens wtf. Then took a bit of some time to find a free toilet that isn’t charged a premium of RM5 in Gardens – even the free toilets in the Gardens were quite posh.
Then Chris sent me all the way back home where I reached home at about 11pm after being his toyboy for the day HAHAHA. Overall a great day out. :D
Wednesday afternoon I went to Andy’s house to get my fix of Internet, then went to pick up Ding and we went together to meet Yen at Pyramid to watch Kungfu Panda after nearly everyone else had watched it weeks ago. Walked around in search for a cap to cover up my incredibly fugly hair which took us nearly an hour after not succeeding in finding one that suits me – seriously I don’t seem to have that head shape that could fit into a cap nicely haih.
Then after that went to Ding’s house for a while to help him finish his assignment WTF after Andy earlier promised him that I would do so. At about 9pm both Andy and I went to Joe’s workshop to dine and chat – quite a lot of people were there, lots of relatives and ex-schoolmates who attended (a lot from class 5C obviously).. like Sharon, Farah, Zulaila, Edmund, Boon Wei, Jon Woo, Matthew, etc. Esther and Adrian dropped by the latest at after 10pm.
Then me, Sarah, Andy, Esther, Adrian and Shawn went to Sze Vien’s house at Putra Heights (quite a large house with a fantastic kitchen bar) and stayed up to 1am.
