14 Sep 2005 3:51 pmBloody Dek encouraged, encited and tempted me till I gave in and downloaded Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children yesterday, all complete with subs. The irony is, it’s slated to be released today, or tomorrow, in Japan, I don’t know which—piraters somehow have a hand in almost everything. And I just pre-ordered it last week, though my only consolation is that it’s a LIMITED EDITION package and most of my friends said it’ll be “worth it”. I hope so.
Daniel, Wai Hong and Kai Shen came to my house after school at 3pm to watch it on my PC. It’s THX front-row seats; we sat on the floor and stared up at the 17” monitor as we strained our necks.
No words could describe that show, especially if you’ve played the original game before. And because I have no words for it.. my description ends here. Simply speechless. Because I’ve waited almost two freaking years for this movie, watching it condensed into a 1hr 40 mins show isn’t exactly satisfying.
What’s funny was after tuition, when we had a mini-mamak gathering of sorts to commemorate the end of our Trials today. Sorta. Me, Suet, Esther, Shawn, Ryui Bynn, Angela and Heng were there, but all this happened before Heng and Angie arrived.
Shawn noticed an MPSJ truck coming opposite him and we were all curious, but nevertheless I expected it to pass by. When the truck stopped abruptly near Syed Ariff and men in blue poured out and started snatching chairs and tables like it was some urgent raid, man, did Suet and Esther panic. Hilarious.
Mamak guys were hurriedly throwing chairs and tables into their premise while another dragged their huge precious TV inside. Suet and Esther looked as if we were gonna get arrested and almost left before big ol’ Shawn calmed them down. Syok sendiri XD After that normal conversation resumed with all sorts of wild topics initiated by Esther including a certain unmarried teacher’s breasts. wtf. And love bites! o_O
Today felt completely relaxing for once. The guys who were at my house left at about 6:20pm minutes before Shawn came to pick me up. RB later came to my house after mamak and I tried to burn some pics for him on my extremely laggy PC. Also watched some highlights from Advent Children with him, which in total would make it more than 3 hours combined now.
I’m shedding off my mortal exhaustion now, and it completely overwhelmed me once I saw RB off. It’s like the tiredness simply surged once the curtain finally closed over a stage, the end of a perfectly normal, awesome day.
