The Brokeback convo

Went out with Andy, Daniel and Kai Shen last night at nearly 10pm (I drove this time around) and we went to a cybercafe at USJ1, which, thankfully enough, wasn’t the horrible cockroach motel wannabe cum cybercafe.

We played for two hours worth of CS:CZ (out of the original three, since Kai Shen has college the next day), and it was pretty fun. We weren’t sitting near each other due to the unavailability of the computers, so both Kai Shen and I were separated by one other guy, while Daniel and Andy were sitting together. 70% of the time we were at the ice map, and, whenever I play heart-pumping FPS games like this, I am more likely to get excited and aggravated, and as likely as ever to yell out profanities while ignoring half a dozen other strangers sitting around us.

At about 12am, we went to the mamak just next to the cybercafe and drank/ate as usual. A highlight of one of the few conversations we had because it was darned hilarious.

Background story: We were talking about Brokeback Mountain beforehand (and the Oscars and such), when I turned to Kai Shen asking him about the length of the movie The Island as I borrowed it from Kai Tzin and didn’t want to end up sleeping at 6am again (was planning to watch it that night, which I didn’t in the end).

Me: Nolah, there’s only like what, one short sex scene and they’re even covered up.
Kai Shen *nods*: Yeah only one scene.

Me: In the cinema??

Kai Shen is just so pure and holy, that the notion of him watching Brokeback Mountain is like the end of the world, planets and universe as we know it.
