A growing sense of calm, filtered through window blinds casting horizontal bars of shadows, made me feel at ease. I don’t know why, the calmness I’m feeling of this extreme intensity happens only a few times a year, and that is how I’m feeling right now. This would also be the best time to write interesting short stories as words would just flow quaintly and my imagination focused, but I lack that luxury of time. My Japanese workload is increasing, seeing that we’re taking JLPT 3 at the end of this year, which I honestly doubt that my friends and I are prepped up enough for it. Come December, we would only have studied the language for 1 and a half years, and would probably be at half of the hours required to study for the exam.
My mum told me a few things several hours ago about some relatives that really had me incredibly incensed, that I blurted out colourful words you normally wouldn’t use when talking with your family members very naturally. “Fuck him lah seriously”, “They’re so fucking patronising”, etc. My mum didn’t even flinch when I said them. :)

I need to post up some long-due pics. Completely forgotten some of them as I wanted to finish my Bangkok travellogue first before interrupting said series.

Kel, Ting, and me.. meeting up at Luna Bar (we were at the indoors, the first time for me as well as I’ve only been on the outdoors once) on the 7th August (Thursday), on the Olympics opening’s eve.
Been wanting to meet up with Ting for a very long time ever since we met in Laos (yeah, been mentioning that story far too many times already).. and prior to that night, we SMSed and planned the meet up and I managed to drive all the way to KL without getting lost at all. :) Such an achievement for a horrible navigator with a poor sense of direction, and I was embarrassed to tell them that as a Malaysian who lives 30 minutes away from KL (when there’s no jam), I don’t know where to show them around wtf.
They very kindly belanja me the RM10 parking fee too (from the stupid illegal jaga kereta guy), and then an exorbitant RM15+ orange juice I ordered lol (which was cheap for them.. apparently), ‘cause I unfortunately couldn’t drink any alcohol as 1) I just took a Panadol Actifast to keep my sudden fever that flared up at bay, and 2) I was driving.
We had fun chatting for 2-3 hours – fantastic to catch up with Ting. :) Was also glad that I brought to her to the right place as she was gushing how different, posh, and excellent the bar is.

On 9th August the Saturday, ate this very tasty fish at Friday’s with Brian.. though the portion is too small for my liking (RM29 too I think).

Yumcha with the extended family and Audrey at Melur USJ17 on 21st August, Thursday night.

Eating.

Another look.
Confronted with aforementioned three friends in front of my house’s gate that night, for maybe about 10 minutes or so.
Went yumcha for a final time at Tanjung USJ 9 on Saturday night with Heng and Jess and Xin Min (and Audrey for a while). I echo Esther’s sentiments that it was the best yumcha we had in the longest time ‘cause we laughed so much, and the topics we talked about (ie: sex wtf) reminded us that we’re no longer innocent high school kids anymore.

Punishment wtf. We went to Shawn’s house (with the exception of Jess and Heng, as they had to go back the next day)

With bunny hats wtf.

Tired/bored.
We played the ‘I Never’ game over some alcohol and 7-Up and plain water. Interesting revelations followed as usual.. and we went home at nearly 5am.
