20 Aug 2006 7:02 amSorry for the lack of updates, but for the past two days I’ve been completely out and about, and barely had time nor energy to post an entry. I think these sort of times would be the perfect opportunity to place a ‘filler entry’ of sorts, but then again it defeats the point of blogging -- as a personal weblog.
So a recap of the past two days.

After a short HMC group discusison after class, Steffi, Chai Huey, Jo Vie, and I went in Andy’s car to Pyramid for lunch.

This pic was snapped on the recent Wednesday in the library, when two stressed out dudes released their tensions in a very unique manner.

Snapped in class on Thursday during our break.
Being completely hungry, ravaging creatures that we were, we quickly settled on Kim Gary and were ushered into this purple, circular, centre-of-the-attraction, unique seats. Wheee first time!

My dessert and iced lemon tea.

Chai Huey, Steffi, Jo Vie, Andy.

Milo or sommat, so unique hor.

Who can forget the luscious cheese-baked rice! Mine was beef.
Walked around window-shopping mostly, and I bought a set of 30 4R-sized glossy photos to test with my printer next time. Left at 6pm, dropped by at Steffi’s rented room in SS15 to hang around till 7.30pm, went back home, ate/etc, and I drove out again and picked up Heng and Andy to SLC, reaching at 9pm.
I had a very satisfying time swimming like a dog, as on the last two Fridays when we came here, the water was ass-freezingly cold and my ugly, green goggles went missing, not surprising when so many people desired for it anyway. Had to borrow Andy’s ex-goggles this time around, but for an hour plus worth of swimming (the club was supposed to close at 10.30pm?), it was a pleasant dunk. Not to forget the cramp on my hamstring during the last two laps. =___=
Went yamcha at Tanjung after that with Sarah, Suet, Jess, and Shawn. Went back at 12.30am.

------
Most amazingly, I had to sacrifice my precious, weekend sleep to help out with CSO’s fruits and jelly-selling booth. I reached college at about 8.50am, 20 minutes later then the designated time, after being turned away from the guard house since we couldn’t park inside on the weekend when an event is going on in college.
Bah.
I was directed to the cafeteria to help out when I reached there, and minutes later everyone congregrated there and unholy revelations of how a certain someone has a bathroom fetish and other information I most probably don’t need to know was thrown about openly.
Since an excellent fruit-cutter is not me, I had to content myself with the deliriously exciting job of sorting out fruits into their appropriate packages (plastic bags, etc) to sell at a very affordable price at RM1 per packet -- physical monetary replacement of an RM1 coupon was required to buy. I became the personal assistant of a professional watermelon-disassembler (couldn’t remember the girl’s name, Pitchy?), working closely with (the mostly Mandarin-speaking) her to get our jobs done.
There were plenty of high school students in our college for their iChallenge event, which I had to presume is a sketch competition of some sort. Selling chopped guavas, papayas, watermelons, and the cor-naa-kuu (god knows the spelling) jelly wasn’t that hard; in fact, to further improve our sales, Matt, Jon, Adrian, and Bryant were walking around to sell ‘em.
I bought a set of RM5 coupon as well to buy food to munch on since I was hungry, and spent my last two on two cheese tarts to bring home.
My shift was supposed to end at 11 (or was it 12?), but I worked on anyway since there was still plenty to be done (at that time, fruit cutting and sorting). When I finally was ready to leave at 12.40pm, and finished bidding goodbyes to everyone, saw Bryant, my partner of sorts for CSO that day, who was desperately finding for his mother’s favourite knife which went missing.
I volunteered to help him, since like-to-help is my middle name (not, literally, ‘course). We rummaged through the garbage together and had a whale of a time smothering our skin with gooey crumbs of guavas and papayas, seeds, dirty papers, and crushed cans of soft drinks. For some reason he was particularly embarassed that the others from CSO would’ve caught us doing this, and afraid that Anita would know (if anyone of you from CSO happens to read this, uh, maybe explain to me or something lol. and on the virtue of being nice, don’t tell anyone else >_> since I’m not sure if Bryant’ll like it).
Anyhow, Dek gave us two brilliant, yellow Metropolitan T-shirts which I’ll be quite proud of wearing (both Matt and Dek won it from the RSO stall for us, woot, thanks! :D), after he phoned Bryant. Rummaged through the garbage more before he changed into the yellow tee, and I went back at about 1.20pm-ish.
For some reason, despite how gloriously bland all these may seem, I felt a strong sense of achievement for helping out with my club. It’s akin to the feeling when I helped out with my Leo Club’s 1st Leo Gala last year - that feeling of being fiercely loyal to the particular club you belong.
Went out with family at about 5pm to 1 Utama. There was an AXN Challenge thingy going on, and they had a booth of disgusting food which was a mini attraction.

“Eat the dead cricket and you’ll get a free Brylcream!” Was tempted to do so on impulse since the girl in the pic actually ate like a few of them nonchalantly. But then I wasn’t incited enough to win a tiny tube of Brylcream, huhu.
This cheeky, tough-looking dude ate a dead cricket (don’t know if it’s fried or not, host said it tasted like prawns), and two live worms, winning himself three tubes of Brylcream. The worms, being alive and squirmy, are fucking disgusting.

My youngest bro, being a huge fan of cars, posed in front of this nifty Porsche.
After scouting around several shops for wallets I finally settled on Guy Laroche’s selection, as, despite being calf leather, they have very smart-looking designs, differing from the plain-looking ones I’ve seen several shops ago. RM127.20 after 20% discount, which is quite an okay price.
Was feeling quite happy about this purchase, since I had wanted a new wallet for ages - mentioned about how waiting will increase expectations, and if said expectations are met, will increase the satisfaction even more in a past entry - and this transition to a leather wallet no less is sorta adult-ish in a way.
Went to IKEA for dinner, with a delicious variety of Western food (I had fish and chips, both are quite tasty, the fries being better than McD’s), and the prices are quite affordable. Paying for an RM1.50 glass of soft drink gets you free refills, sames goes to coffee and tea. Really a must-go you’re going to Ikano or IKEA. Reached home at about 10.
Went to Shawn’s house at about 10.30pm, and played mahjong till 1.30am. Lost about RM6 in the end, butttt it was fun lah. Shawn’s two other classmates were there as well, earlier cooking crabs. Andy came at about 11.30pm.
Went to Tanjung USJ9 till 2.30am after our mamak session, and both Andy and I headed back, after dropping me off at Shawn’s dark alley where I parked my car. The others went off to cybercafe, but I had enough after two days of continuously going out.

Daniel, you totally only got the first comment becuase I stayed up until 4 and was sleeping. >:|
And like. What’s cc, tak, ajak, mao, ma, oso, and yamcha? Yamcha makes me think of DBZ. I know what mamak is, I think. D;
Annnnd. If you have one in Malaysia, Steak ‘n Shake has the BEST FRIES EVER. They also have the best milkshakes. ♥
They’re like infinitely greater than McDonald’s fries. If you dip the fries in your milkshake it brings a whole new meaning to both milkshakes and fries. :D
And you paid that much money for a wallet? D: Wallets are like 2 bucks in America.

kaitzin & saki: lol, kaitzin has done all the nice explanations, thanks! XD Malaysian English is nice to use. :p
If real leather wallets are only USD$2, slap me. But I don’t think it’ll be that cheap.. right? You must be referring to cheap-o cloth-based easy-to-tear wallets. >_>
And no we don’t have Steak ‘n’ Shake and a billion other fattening American food. D: Like candies.

kaitzin: :O Thank you! I’ll use Malaysian and Singaporian slanglish when school starts. I’ll be like “Tak ajak? SIAO AH.” Or something.
Promise. ♥
Daniel: 6 AM is early. I’m getting ready for school at 6 AM. :(
And like. What’s capitalization? It seems to have deserted you; or are you just not familiar with the Shift key?
jaykay. ♥
Stuff is hella cheap in Malaysia. 2 bucks could get me a Dollar Menu item at McDonald’s. Just one, counting tax and all.
Saigomago: I’ve never seen the point in buying anything expensive that wasn’t electric. Like, I can understand expensive electronics, they’re expensive by nature. But why bother spending that much on something that’s going to feel the ‘wear and tear’ of everyday life no matter what? Like shoes, clothes, and other assorted things like that. I mean, you could’ve gotten a relatively nice wallet for MUCH cheaper, and in all honesty they’d probably last about the same amount of time depending upon how much you use ‘em.
You should, seriously, just get a purse. They cost less than that hella expensive wallet, AND you can store more in them.
Plus it’s harder for someone to steal your purse since it’s bigger and you’d definitely NOTICE if someone were to try to snatch it.
[No one will think you’re gay; you’ll be the talk of the town! ♥]
It makes me feel bad for you, though.
Candy wins. Like.. my favorites are Twizzlers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and they’re both orgasmic.
Long comment. :D -pets-

ozzie: too bad I can’t drink Milo from all these restaurants since they most likely contain milk.. =___=
lol well, it’s just another ‘Fear Factor’ thingy. if someone pays me a million bucks then I’ll consider doing what I mentioned in my entry. :p yeah not for cheap gel, like wtf.
Saki: that made me LOL and ROFL and whatnot. XD
About my wallet, it’s called preferences, darling. I’ve outgrown out of my cheap-o cloth-made noisy PLIAKK kinda wallet, and decided I need something more.. businessman-like. Like a real leather wallet. :) I don’t like purchasing expensive shoes anyway, clothes as well, unless I have extra cash to spend on in a particular month.
I don’t like purses. >_> Plus it’s way too big, partly why I didn’t get a bulkier wallet.
Your comment on food made me hungry. I’ll run off and grab some snacks like our own Mamee Monster, and hopefully add
a few0.0000000001 kilos in the process.:D
daniel: started la ding.
